People that don't live in delta and know nothing about delta have been making noise on this matter since,NDOKWA nation will never be a part of that anioma nation because they (NDOKWA) have never ever been keen on associating themselves with all this south-east shenanigans right from time,those guys have been living with the isokos and orogun urhobo for centuries and have intermarried and even speak the languages confidently. And I repeat again,they know what Biafra did to them during the civil war and they also know that they are being grouped into that anioma story because of their oil. The People making noise from ndokwa today are mostly kids who are under 40 years and don't know anything about their identity,they are naively allowing themselves to be sucked in with the igbos of South-east with knowing what they ought to know.

They are not against the request for new State but only the geographical zone to be included. First let the State be created and the rest will come under a negotiated agreement.

First,whether they are residing in their villages or not is inconsequential. Kanu was in London promoting his Biafra madness . Same thing goes for Ekpa.

Secondly , you are asking for the cart to be put before the horse. The people are not against state creation but being lumped into the SE zone as proposed by Ned. The bill by Ned for state creation comes with the condition that Anioma be lumped into SE. So you can not waive that critical aspect of the bill and still urge for state creation.

Lastly, Ned should begin to see his re-election to the Senate or any other future elective position especially as a future governor of Delta state or Anioma as officially dead.

The King of iselle-uku (aniocha) has said they are from benin, but no official statement yet from them and oshimili ( 4 local governments) asaba people no want anything that reminds them of civil war

The law on state creation has already provided that if certain people want to remain in their state, rather than create a new State, they can vote against it during referendum. People don't know that the constitution of Nigeria says referendum must be conducted before a new State can be created

As for the so called South South or South East, the constitution of Nigeria does not recognise either one.

The constitution only recognises 36 states and 774 LGA's

There was a referendum for the creation of the Mid West region which Anioma is part of.

Btw the agenda is to create one additional state in SE for regional balancing it is Anioma who are trying to gate crash into the SE state agitation agenda to take advantage of SE slot.No prominent SE personality have endorsed Anioma state.
It will take Anioma people a lot of lobbying and home work to convince SE elites to concede to the idea of Anioma state.
