The Supreme Court on Wednesday restrained the Federal Government and its agencies from ceding 17 oil wells to Imo State.

The oil wells are located in Akri and Mgbede communities where their boundaries are being disputed by the Rivers and Imo State governments.

The order of injunction was granted to stop a purported implementation of the ceding of the oil wells to Imo State pending the determination of a suit brought before the apex court by the Rivers State government.

So the supreme court can actually kick against FG's move like this, yet they sheepishly obeyed in imposing a failed governor to Imo State?

If River states is Igbo Land, why don’t you leave the oil for your fellow Igbos in Rivers state to enjoy?

It's a normal legal procedure. When a case that has been decided by a lower Court is brought to a higher court, the higher court grants an injunction or a stay of execution meaning that the ruling of the lower court shouldn't be implemented yet until the higher court hears the matter.
