I am seeking advice on relocating to either Germany or Canada at the beginning of next year. I currently work remotely as the sole UI/UX designer for a tech company in Nigeria. I am married and in my late 20s. The idea of relocating has been on my mind for a few months now, and I have seriously been considering leaving the country. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering.

A friend suggested that I could move through a study program, but I am not sure if I can focus on academics at the moment. I am keen to hear how others have successfully and legitimately relocated. My wife is insistent that I shouldn’t leave the country without her, so I am planning for both of us to move together.

I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed with relocating to either Germany or Canada. If you prefer to share detailed information privately, my email is in my signature.

This is not d place to get such advise. Many advising u here haven't even passed Lagos to d closest West Africa country neither have they even made up to a tenth of such money u have..Go and do ur research well in an intellectual platform or forum. There are lots of poverty-stricken minds here with loads of jealousy, tribal & religous hatred in their heart. Be careful. That's all I can tell u.

Apply for a UK Global Talent visa and you will be fine as UI/UX designer. I am a very senior IT man, so I confirm this to you. It's the best visa you can have as a tech man. Contact me for help. With this visa, not even USA will impress you. Note if you plan relocating next year, you will need to start the process now.

You need a blocked account of 11k euros so convert that it's about 20m for 1 person.

You need to look at appointments also

18M look very much but considering the exchange rate it what makes it very low. Imagine you had 18m during GEJ regime ehn, you go enter anywhere

I live in Germany, if you are married and have kids,forget Germany. There are alot of challenges in Germany, the language, it's not a friendly country like Canada or USA. Germany is tough believe me. USA and Canada are better, you have less challenges.. German language is not an easy language, without you speaking it to standard you can't get a good job, secondly if you don't have legal paper, person dey play with depression . Germany will frustrate your life die

Please stop suggesting Uk for people who want ro Japa. There are better countries for Godsake na!

Just joking. If madam get 2:1 in her first degree with high IELTS score, a budget of 20m+ naira can take both of you to UK.

Another option is German opportunity card but you have to wait for about one year to get a slot if you are applying from Nigeria

Canada will be ur sure bet cos there won't be any language barrier. I think N18 million will go far till u & ur wife stabilized. U hv a carrier in high demand everywhere my brother. Good luck 👍

People with experience that are in that country are saying it won't be enough u are saying otherwise.

Go to Canada travel section n see the account balance of those guys.

I would adviss you to love to countries like Australia, Austria, Sweden, finland and your other 2 options rather than moving to UK.

Your best bet is to learn french and try for canadian pr. Immigration especially from Nigeria now is very hard and the more time you waste the harder it gets. In 2 years time, french won't even help you get Canadian pr.

Migrating to Canada through the study route cost them 13m naira? Are you serious! This is quite expensive if you ask me, crazy I must say.

When you relocate, what will you be doing?

And when you relocate you will surely start afresh. And you will loose your (wife) family.

And why would you leave your wife alone?

Those who took the same step you want to take, how is it with over there now?

Make your enquiring base on those who relocated.

The things you will get over there, you can it here in nigeria, when you double your hustle. Your land and country is blessed with many things, find then and enjoy them to your satisfaction.

18m is less than 17k CAD o. That’s way below the annual minimum wage bro. You will make that money back in no time!

There’s huge return on investment. It’s just that it can be VERY rough when you first arrive. Don’t dull.

I live in Germany 🇩🇪 with my wife and kids and that's the best choice I have made , Germany over useless Canada , any day , no natural disaster, free education, child's support, government support in every thing , if you have the money and connection, move on . Nigeria is not a country!!
