Can Tinubu remain in SDP if the party did not exist as, at 1998 when new parties were created to begin the return to democracy?

So from AD that was later factionlized with multiple Party Chairman claims, his faction of AD formed the AC with other party politicians which changed name to ACN, just like APP changed name to ANPP, then same ACN went into a merger with ANPP, CPC, and a faction of APGA.

The recurring decimal is that Tinubu moved with his party all the time and was a foundational member of those party transitions.

He was not a ticket hunter or political prostitute moving up and down to existing parties.
