All Eyes On Igbo: Nigeria Seems Empty and Bereft of Ideas Without The Igbos by AlaafinOfOyo(op):
Why are you all interested in the Igbo joining or not joining the protest? As in a protest you people are planning as Nigerians of 250+ ethnic groups, the stance of one group—Igbo—is all you're concerned with.

Fulani, who have been cutting wide swats in tears and blood and have even seized the ethnic homeland of dozens of tribes after displacing some and installing themselves as rulers in others, are not your concern. What's even more interesting is that the same Fulani are spearheading the protest despite holding the country at ransom with banditry, kidnapping, and ethnic cleansing. The same Fulani are not your concern, but Igbo. As in, Igbo, who you all united as one man to fight and defeat in a war, are still your star player, which you cannot do without after 60 years. Why?

Why should Igbo be involved in a fight where two looters are having a misunderstanding over stolen loot? Umuigbo, you better open your eyes. Whether in the north or west, do not get involved. Why? Four men came and fought you in your house and beat you to a stupor. While you were unconscious, they started looting everything in and around your house. On the way with your loot, the two that initiated the fight settled the two that assisted them with 13%. Later, a fight broke out among the two big looters over the sharing formular for the remaining 87%. Should you get involved?

The truth is that they're not yet ready to protest. Real protests are never planned or advertised. In fact, the 2020 so-called ENDSARS protest that they even printed banners and fliers is a joke. Ask the British what they learned about the Aba and Calabar women of 1929. They'll tell you what a real protest looks like. When Nigerians are truly hungry and tired of the mess the country has become, even the protest will have no organizer. Not a tribe or a class. In the meantime, bear in mind that if it is based on natural selection, you, as Onye Igbo, are a natural survivor. Simply face and protect your business. Say no to the protest, and let the dead bury their own dead.

The protest has already gone tribal and that’s what the government wants. Let’s see how it goes.

That is how it should be. That is how it has always been. The faster they destroy the country with misgovernance, the quicker everyone rests. At least, the moment there's no more money to steal because the loans are more than the income, no one would tell Africans living in this whiteman's contraption that an insect can never be a bird.

It seems only Igbos have the capacity of changing the trajectory of the country. An Igbo man needs to be president to do the needful

Firstly, you're a clown.

Chidish excuse upon excuse. Ebonyi is the poverty stricken capital of the south, followed by Enugu state... Your people should change the trajectory of the two states first.

Igbos can't turn around small Ebonyi and Enugu state, the land in Ebonyi and Enugu belong to the states but more than 65% of the people in the two states are living in abject poverty.

Poverty level in Ebonyi is more than what we have in states like Kaduna and Kano. A clueless person like Obi who has no tangible achievement in small Anambra state is who will turn Nigeria around grin

Five states that have a combined IGR lower than Ogun State and no one wants to live

You want to turn Nigeria to SE?

And I think we shouldn't waste time in electing giving the presidency to the Igbos since they've set a good example of how well they can run the country by doing so fantastic as governors in their region

That the greatest form of cowardice ever

I live i the East yet i cant even think of answering one Igbo name. Never

But for these guys, its even worse on Twitter, they happily add Yoruba names to theirs and I wonder why

Inferiority complex, the urge to be like others, have both eaten deeply into their genes

In 2012, the Yorubas went ahead to protest despite the fact that the rest of u pulled out

Fast forward to 2024, the Yorubas said they are not interested and the rest of you starts to pull out one by one. We know who who run things cheesy cheesy cheesy

Most of them are rude and proud . Only few of them behave normal . Based on my experience, is like those people grew up in south west or northern part of the country behave normal . If they grew up and raised in south east , they usually have that proudness in them. . This is my only observation. When I compared all my Igbos friends from south west and northern part , they are always difference from those in south east .

Why should you pray for an Igbo to become president instead of for them crumble the country so that different nations could determine their own direction? This is why rigging Peter Obi out is in the strategic interest of Ndiigbo. You all need to keep the big picture in view. Permitting the crumbling of the country by Fulani and Yoruba misgovernance should be a tactical plan of the igbo. Building a vibrant Igbo manpower should also be a tactical plan of the Igbo. Ignoring the Fulani-Yoruba incompetence should also be a tactical plan of the Igbo. While exiting as an independent Igbo country after 150 years of British and Nigerian conquest and misrule respectively should be the strategic plan of Ndiigbo. If Israel could suffer a 2000 years displacement and come back strong, Igbo can regain her independence in less than 50 years from now if we prioritize the right tactical and strategic plans.

The only reason why you want to stay out of the protest is, you know we already have our eyes on you, any attempt to repeat Endsars will be met with serious resistance.

Tinubu achieved nothing in Lagos.
The governors after him performed more thsn him.

If Lagos was in the hands of a competent and corrupt free person, it would be among the four best states in Africa

I keep saying that Nigerians are probably the most stuupid people on the planet. And that's why they get the kind of leaders they deserve.
They are supposedly planning a protest, and long before the contemplated event, there are controversies, finger pointing, scapegoating, etc.
I can't stop laughing.
Like you pointed out, real groundshaking protests are usually spontaneous, and knows no ethnic or religious boundaries.

Igbophobia seems to be a chronic disease that has unfortunately been pushing this country backwards and backwards for many decades.
