they slash or not, come that we are all trooping out , they will hear it out that day. Unlike the first one that yielded no result, what happened in Kenya is just small. Nigeria Politicians will hear it hot this time around.
Do not just be a voter but also someone who will be voted for so that you can use your good ideas to bring out change in the nation or hence you will continually be disappointed in those u vote.

How would that alleviate the suffering of the masses?

However, I quite appreciate their empathy and realization of the economic quagmires bedeviling us as people.

Alas, their Oga at the top seems not to be bothered about the obvious hardship in the land.

What of their allowance. That's where most of their largesse are.

Senate and governors and state of assemble members should do same immediately as well.
allowances are tied to salaries, so if salaries are reduced, the allowances get reduced eg if furniture allowance is 300%of salary, if salary gets reduces, furniture allowance gets reduced too. but i'm very sure they didnt reduce a kobo from the salaries

Encouraging? The salary of a rep is approximately Naira 1.5 million($971) . However, the same rep takes home approximately $160,000 dollars a year in padded pay and allowances. How does cutting just $485.50 out of all of that appear encouraging to you? undecided

Re: House Of Reps Members Slash Salaries By 50% by Segzy19: 3:55pm On Jul 18, 2024
Leave the salaries alone. Some of us are not stupid

Slash the allowances by 50%
End the constituency allowances... There is no need for it anymore as the LGs will now be financially autonomous...

Imagine someone who receives salaries and has to be corrected by his colleagues on what he receives. These are people who can't show Nigerians a proof through their payment slip or credit schedule on their bank platforms.
