40,000÷70,000=0.571 ×100= 57%
Just multiply your basic salary by 57% and add it to your take home

It will be increased based on percentages like the last minimum wage, but the modalities is not yet out.

This is the consequential adjustment for new minimum wage for civil servants across the all grade levels.
Grade Level 7 will get 23.2 per cent adjustment; Grade Level 8 (20 per cent), Grade Level 9 (19 per cent), Grade Levels 10-14 (16 per cent) and Grade Levels 15-17 (14 per cent).

Other workers on Grade Level 7 will be given (23.2 per cent), while Grade Levels 8-14 will earn (16 per cent) and Grade Levels 15-17 (10.5 per cent). I hope this helps

this is d best explanation...for instance those in lvl 9 will it be 19 percent of ur take home or basic

Those from level 7 upwards tinubu just implemented ur wage award that was stopped before...wage award of 35k will be added across board from 7 to 11

We have lots of irresponsible and dullard in this country, instead of the government to encourage more productive and subsidize more products inorder to encourage fair competition and allows prices of goods to come down automatically inorder to avoid all blown out inflation, instead they keep adding fuel to the burning fire ..

It's called minimum, the formula will be different for those already in the cut off

Let me try to answer from my little knowledge of the civil service. Now this will be the job of the NSIWC to determine, it will depend on the Conolidated salary structure. The higher your Grade level, the lower the percentage increase. For example, in 2019, when the minimum wage was increased to 30K, from 18K, (which was about 80%) the consequential adjustment for core civil servants ie Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS) was:
GL 07: 23.2%, GL 08: 20%, GL 09: 19%, GL 10: 14, 16%, while GL 15-17 was 14%.

In this case, the minimum wage was increased by about 140%. I believe the adjustment from GL 7 will begin from like 30/35% down to like 20% for GL 17.

Just my opinion, but it shouldn't be far from it. The NSIWC must have complied the Breakdown and sent to the Minister of Finance, who will in turn brief Mr President then Mr President will look at it and take a final decision. I think that's what really happened.
