I want to finish the book before I voice an opinion. So far what I have found out is Azikiwe set up ACB and Louis Ojukwu was a share holder in the bank.
Azikiwe who was the Premier of the Eastern region now invested money of the Eastern region into the African continental bank (ACB) in order for his personal gains.
Sir Louis was also a share holder in Azikiwe's newspaper West African Pilot.
To cut the long story short they were business partners.
What Azikiwe's did in the ACB led to him being brought before the Foster Sutton tribunal for corruption and personal enrichment and guess who was his principal defence witness at the tribunal? Louis Ojukwu!

The book makes for interesting reading and shows Azikiwe as one of the founders of political corruption in Nigeria.

Azikiwe used his Political Power to unjustly take a lot of Port Harcourt lands ffrom the indigenes for

his and his friends and familie and benefits that was part of what led to the abandoned property Crisis when the indigenes of Port Harcourt took back their lands Azikiwe used his power as Premier of the East to forcefully take from them

The amusing thing is that the Ibo supremacists on these threads claim Nnamdi Azikiwe was squeaky clean and was not corrupt and that was why he was spared by the coupists of January 1966. They claim Sardauna, Balewa,Akintola and Okotie Eboh were all corrupt and that is why they were killed. They claim Azikiwe and Okpara were squeaky clean and that is why the Coupists spared them. However history says otherwise and from my research so far Azikiwe was one of the most corrupt politicians of the first Republic.

government gave loan to those who were able to pay back . and you guessed right , Igbos were doing business all over PH importing and making hell of money because then Lagos port Was carrying about 50% of the imports and exports then Warri and PH ports were doing well. they took loan even ijaws took loans as well and started buying lands from the locals( mostly ikwere) just like we are doing in Lagos today..

Thier only crime was to take loan get properties and establish businesses
