Chinkoalhaji34:What exactly will they refine? Did you read the op at all ? FG is the only entity that can get crude oil which they should be sending to dangote and other local refineries to refine, but instead ship outside the country to later spend fx to import the refined product....make una try read content first before rushing to comment. |

FuckTheMod:Dangote is a businessman....he has come out to say that FG aren't delivering crude to him as they promised, it behooves on FG to counter him if he's being dishonest, blaming him for importing crude when FG isn't giving him crude is the silliest thing I've seen today |

Majority of Nigerians voted for the proposed right candidate but the ruling power hijacked the power same way dey did in 2019, till date the inec chairperson who announced the 2day president is not in this country, now in Abia state, what is happening?, Otti have gone back far from his campain words, the masses voted for him, and now they are crying, no new opportunity since he emerge governoship in Abia state for the past 14months. |

Reduce the price of your product, marketers will come for your products, there should be competitive market not monopoly |

I support this move 100%, the case study is the ban on food importation that give birth to this food insecurity we are witnessing now. |

franugo:NNPCL is reported to have made 3 deliveries of at least 1 million barrels of oil to Dangote Refinery, the last of which was delivered in January or thereabout. Dangote has equally been sourcing Crude from the US for a while now. 🤔 Additionally, Dangote was on Buhari's election advisory team, and he was aware of Buhari engaging in OIl Swap to the amount of about $25 billion, some of which was probably used by the same FG to back Dangote's Refinery project. So, what else must FG do again for this one businessman when the same FG has not done for the over 200 million other Nigerians out there? ![]() |
| Re: Fuel Import: FG Working Against Local Refineries, Operators Cry Out by Bullfallo(m): 6:23pm On Jul 21, 2024 |
The millions barrels of crude which NNPC sold to dangote. Dangote didn’t refine a single drop of fuel to the Nigerian consumer. We need to understand that dangote is not transparent. Telling federal governor to ban import of fuel when you are not clear of the price you want to sell to Nigeria doesn’t make any sense. The basic reason dangote is not in the book ofnthe federal government is dangote fuel is not cheaper as promised by the tinubu government to Nigerians |

dangote wants to do to crude oil wat he has done with cement |
| Re: Fuel Import: FG Working Against Local Refineries, Operators Cry Out by stallionng: 8:07pm On Jul 21, 2024 |
The government should disprove this by licensing more local refineries, complete and reinstate existing ones to enable balanced competition without monopoly so also same goes for cement manufacturing. |

Chinkoalhaji34:You lack proper comprehension from what dangote is saying. If you are ordering 15 shipment from NNPC crude and they only give 1, how does that help local refinement and what should we think of other refiners whose requests to has been left unanswered? Ho dies such actions help the economy and in that situation you as a company owner what would you have done? |
| Re: Fuel Import: FG Working Against Local Refineries, Operators Cry Out by Kobojunkiee: 8:18pm On Jul 21, 2024*. Modified: 11:57pm On Jul 21, 2024 |
Bullfallo:It was probably more than 1 million barrel according to reports. ![]() 2. By the way, NNPCL was not set up for the benefit of Dangote Refinery. It already had its customers and quotas that it was to meet before Dangote showed up. So it is bad business for Dangote Refinery to have expected NNPCL to divert all of that to feed its own needs. Common sense would have been for Dangote to also explore Oil drilling, something Dangote had announced in 2020 that he had already started doing with a rate of about 20,000 - 100,000 barrels a day. So, for Dangote Refinery to give the impression that NNPCL was meant to feed it all of the crude it needs is nonsense. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENWp9OhZAf4?si=2H1pkDk6NqDBCEbF Why Nigeria Can’t Give Dangote Refinery Amount Of Crude It Requires - Energy Expert

I'm in full support of the importation of the commodity... probably in the interim until the local refiners could prove that entrusting the production and supply of energy is truly worth and they will not take advantage of the monopoly to hold us to ransome. Competition, for me, is health and keeps every industry player on his toes. Therefore, let the challenge begin! |

Chinkoalhaji34:..how will the local refineries refine petroleum products when the NNPC and IOC does not want to supply them crude oil.. even Dangote is also finding it difficult to get crude oil from NNPC and IOC they prefer to export the crude oil for sale than supplying local refineries |

When you have a president like Tinubu that does not have the plans and mind set of turning Nigeria to a producing economy...just having a mind set to be consuming, importing and palliative mind set economy and consuming economy |

But the local refineries should have a cost edge and sell cheaper to dominate the market. Looks like local players prefer a monopoly. adenigga: |

Enforce full deregulation, repair local refineries , give license to build local refineries, they wont! Someone does not want the local refining o fuel to commence, this is systemic and its called sabotage. NNPCL is the cause of the nations fuel woes, it is the real monopoly not Dangote. ![]() |

Also, the Executive Secretary of the Major Energy Marketers Association of Nigeria, Clement Isong, described the NMDPRA comments as clear and direct. Isong told our correspondent that the sector needs that kind of information from the regulator.Yes! The people whose diesel was tested and it shows they're inferior to that of Dangote - they had over 1000ppm sulfur content. I know where this comment is coming from. Major marketers are the importers and won't allow other refineries to come up. |

Here I was thinking all refineries were run by the government. Well, they should step up their game then. Drop prices to pull potential customers first. Una no go school? |
