News of the Nigerian youths planning to stage a protest broke, and suddenly we are seeing so many negative happenings towards protesters from other countries on the Nairaland front page. Well done Seun!
Did he or anyone stop you from protesting? Just steer clear of Lagos for your own good cos I heard Sanwo Olu is planning something juicy this time around.

That was undemocratic, What annoyed me was when the leaders looted public funds, the law on them was only on paper but in reality there was not, but when the poor Masses decided to trigger their anger through a peaceful protest some miscreants were paid to cause a mayhem, changing the style by inserting violence just to have the reason and say THE citizens breach the laws... what a wicked world

WTF MAN!
It's not everything we dey take joke.

Some ppl sentenced to life imprisonment
Others 10-11 yrs.

Now, what does that tell you?
That the true face of the middle east is AUTHORITARIANISM.

Isn't life imprisonment not too much for protesting ( it was merely a peaceful protest, to draw the sympathy of the rulers) against their evil ruler.

UAE isn't Nigeria. We're faced with different problems. Everybody would tackle their wahala as e dey affect them. People have a right to protest but when it becomes violent, it's no more protest but anarchy. People won't be scared by any news from yonder. We have leadership issues back home. But I won't join
Just day for front for the protest but remember no ve the person wey motor hit dey write plate number

Read my message again. Only cowards accept fear. My not joining isn't because I'm a coward. I've always been in every protest even engaged the police mannerly. Let those who were disappointed by their mentors protest in peace

America and Britain need to learn from this. Top much freedom means anarchy.

I watched a pro Palestinian protester stand on American University and call America a cancel that has to be removed.
Arab needs strong leader. When chaos is allowed to happen in their countries, multiple factions of warlords would arise and terrorists would carve out their countries. E.g. Libya.

It was Libyans themselves that called for Ghadafi to be Ousted. They allowed outsiders into their affairs, and their country paid the ultimate price by getting destroyed.

UAE has no interest in political correctness, hence has greater control over their migrants.

The EU needs to have a tougher stance against worrying number of migrants landing by boats.

This is straining facilities. Before, it may take you 24hrs to have a doctor's appointment in the UK. Now, it could take weeks.

This is what need to happen to Eboes disturbing Yorubas in Lagos and other South West states in the name of protests. Nnamdi Cownu was giving orders on whose house to burn down in Lagos. When handshake don dey pass wrist, na wahala dem dey invite. Go back to your 5 plots of land in sad east and develop it and stop running around destroying what others built.
For the past 2 months, the people that had come to my place of work to beg for fanancial assistance are from South West. I never see Igbo wey come beg for money. Me wey contribute to their wrong choice of leaders, go still give them money because of I be human being.

Huh! You think na igbos go destroy lagos. Think again!
If your neighborhood is hungry, huh, no expect safety any more.

Those islamists in the West can't go to UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc to protest. It's only where they are well taken care of they want to conquer and destroy. The West will seriously wake up one day and fight back, it's a matter of time, and they will see the old iron-clad Romans fighting back to life. It's going to be Operation No Mercy.

UAE is peaceful conservative nation and everyone has to respect their law... No illegal gathering or assembly, they don't need it.. the country is so peaceful and secure at times I ask if these people are Arab... Tourism is their second revenue after oil... They are investigating heavily in their country and they don't want any one to come mess it up or scare investors that's why they don't joke with their law against protest and public nuisance, these Bangladesh commit the highest nuisance after Nigeria... Their visa were banned long ago after they attacked and killed police men in Ajman... UAE placed them on long ban, even their employment visas are also ban like Nigerians, only those who are here already are roaming the streets, yet they haven't learnt a thing.... Anyway I doubt if they will serve that long, in less than 3 years they will be deported back to their shit hole to do the protest there

As it stands, the UAE are doing marvellously well and their citizens may have no need for protest. The people being jailed are Bangladeshis who ran away from their country to enjoy the UAE but ended up rioting against the Bangladesh government in UAE territory. They should have left the comfort of UAE and returned to Bangladesh if they really wanted to protest instead of disrupting the orderliness in UAE. It is clearly stated that they will be deported after their terms but I believe the Bangladesh government will have them transferred home for local trial
Below is the ranking for the poorest countries in the world. Bangladesh has a better ranking than Nigeria but they are protesting and we are comfortably hoping for miracles.
