Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard was stoned by protesters on Thursday. She got protection from her bodyguard to escape Riot police formed a shield around the prime minister as they helped her force a path through the protesters who surrounded a restaurant where she was attending an awards ceremony to mark Australia Day. Miss Gillard stumbled after losing a shoe in the scuffle, but was caught by her personal security guard and managed to get into a waiting car.

Now this is the true spirit of democracy, you owe your office to the people, and that should never be forgotten. If it was nigeria, I'm sure the guards would have shot some of them down and say they were a threat to the prime minister's life. |

If its in Nigeria at least 3 people would not have made it out alive. Ordinary visa patience body guard would have sent a customs officer to zanga with a russian revolver. |

Power belongs to the people. In Nigeria power belongs to the elect and the enforcement agents paid by tax payers |

Africa a really dark continent. If any protester try this one on any Africa country to any of it's leader. For sure about half of those involve in that protest will be gun down and anyone arrested will face treason charges and sentence to death. Am very sure of that will happen. |
