Onyeka Onwenu is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, actress, journalist, politician, and former X Factor series judge:

- 1). Birth details: Onwenu was born on 17th May 1952, in Arondizuogu, Imo State, Nigeria, to D.K Onwenu, a renowned educationist and politician. She lost her father in a car accident at a very young age, and her mother had to raise her and her four siblings alone.

- 2). Education: Onwenu attended Wellesley College of Massachusetts, USA, and The New School for Social Research in New York, where she obtained a BA in International Relations and Communication and a master's degree in Media Studies, respectively.

- 3). Career: Onyeka Onwenu is a multi-talented artist who has made a name for herself in various fields. She started her career as a journalist working at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) before moving on to music and acting.

She has released several successful music albums and has featured in numerous Nollywood films. She has also tried her hand at politics and has held several prestigious positions, including the Executive Director/chief executive officer of the National Centre for Women Development.
