Yup. You see what's happening in Edo too. That's why I japa-ed in 2008..I saw the future of Nigerian politics. When I even came home in 2014 or so, I was lucky to come during GEJ's campaign season. I followed a relative close to the corridors of power to a campaign event GEJ came for in Lagos. Myself and the relative went back home with $4,000. I realised that Nigeria will never change, so I sped up application of my foreign passport.

PDP = APC = LP = NNPP = ADC are all the same.
Sowore's party is untested, but I won't be suprised if he becomes corrupt immediately he gets power too.

Summary, if you have the chance, you may have to japa while you can. Nigeria's politics is more interesting to follow from abroad than from inside Nigeria if you are not one of the key players.

The law in Nigeria should stop defection.
Once you are elected on a party ticket you remain there or drop the mandate if you want to defect to another party. The mandate belongs to the party and the electorate.
This should be from the local government councilor to the president

There are only two major parties in Nigeria i.e. APC and PDP.

ADC, LP, NNPP e.t.c are all annexes of those two parties. it's just for disgruntled PDP and APC politicians to chill while they restrategise.

You're right, there're only two major political parties in Nigeria. Others are just micky mouse parties.

Nigerians should be wise, when it rains it doesn't drop on only one man's roof. Everybody go collect.

Nigerians should stop voting in incompetent politicians because of religious or tribal affiliation.......The masses will definitely feel the effect of bad governance irrespective of their region.

I don't trust ANY Nigerian politician, I have given up on them a long time ago.

Politicians are just too greedy. Abejide who got him the ticket and worked for him after loosing out at the PDP primary is still a member of ADC in his constituency

how about the constitutional sections that says if there is division in the party? He is the only one that knows if or where is division in his party . Some lawmakers in Abia state house of assembly defected to labour party from another party nobody said they have lost their seats . Because they can claim division too

Not really. I was actually referring to the likes of Tinubu, who left SDP for AD and from there to AC/ACN and later APC. On obi, APGA is a junior brother of the PDP and they've endorsed the PDP presidential candidates in the past. Obi moving to the pdp was quite justifiable in this case. Then, when the party's constitution of zoning presidency to the south was jettisoned by atiku and he bribed his way through, Obi left the pdp for Labour and he wasn't the only one. Wike whom you guys are now seeing as Mr magic too was technically in the APC due to the atiku's action.

This also gave birth to the G-5 Governors who supported the apc during presidential election instead of atiku. Obi didn't leave as a political officer holder and abandoned his party who voted him into that office, unlike what we see today. Umahi and Co wouldn't have been making noise today, had he contested under the apc in that era. He'd have lost to the pdp candidate
