It is greediness that's the problem of private business owners in Nigeria. If you make profit of say 20k daily for 26days, you'll have 520k. If you pay your sales boy 70k and maybe spend extra 100k for other monthly costs and reinvest 100k, you'll have 250k left.

Mind you, I am just being modest with figures here because I know that many businesses generate more profits than I stated above.

But they all want to live in opulence while their employees suffer like slaves!

This is a new bill different from the previous one that put renegotiation every five years. This bill is encompassing and puts the next renegotiation to 2027.

Something that NLC was demanding about #630,000 as minimum wage which people were disappointed that they settled for #70,000 in the end. . It seems like in human affairs, every solution opens up another problem.

Now if you are a customer and you were paying 15k for your tailoring services before, get ready to pay 40k... it's all an endless cycle that adds nothing to the people

Don't employ. Advertise for apprentices. How much do parents give their children in high institutions for feeding? Mine said a plate of food in the school is N1100, which translates to N99,000 for his three square meals per day for a month unless he wants to cut corners then N70,000 is management and you want to pay a worker you employ less?

Everybody knows the policy is not for small businesses. You have to have employed more than 5 persons for it to apply, otherwise all small businesses will close down immediately.

yes, it time we give more to our workers, it not about ur profit or gain any more. Enough of paying less to ur workers and gaining more profit. is time to give more to people that work for you.

The government should do all it can to turn things around now. Prices will jump up and it will still be the same wailing and crying.

Why this position holds true, the resultant effect will either lead to job loss, or increased inflation as business owners will need to increase price of commodities to meet up with increased overhead obligation on staff salaries.
