Come on, even a cursory examination of contemporary examples ought to demonstrate how false this statement is. You don't even need to look far for examples. The masses can only win if the armed forces are divided. If the armed forces are united and support the government, the masses have zero chance.

Let them try it, so far this protest is peaceful and the government tries any rubbish to set the protesters up they will see the mother of all protests.
