Between you and me..., this was probably Benjamin Netanyahu's best English appearance and his best in Congress. His goals were to bring the world closer to the Abraham Accords - unity in peace and war - and the strengthening of armaments. He praised Biden and Trump. He did not mention Kamala Harris, who preferred not to attend the speech. During his first speech in Congress, the Democratic faction stood and applauded him, but now only a minority stood - a signal for the future. Netanyahu knows how to captivate and engage an audience and speak the language of American and Christian audiences. He told the American people, "It is advantageous for you to be on our front, which is also your front." He put the Saudi option on the table and emphasized that there is a regional opportunity that should be pursued. Netanyahu did not talk about lofty values, but about common interests and that Israel is a power in the world that gets the job done for the US. Netanyahu understands that he may soon face a Republican administration and therefore speaks of a partnership of interests and victory. It's a bet, like any bet in politics. IT |

The Lebanese Shiite cleric who lives in the Gulf, Muhammad Ali al-Husseini, wrote an open letter to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah yesterday in the Saudi newspaper Okaz under the title "Nasrallah.. Be aware so you don't say later if I knew." In the article, Al-Husseini, who serves as the secretary general of the Arab Islamic Council in Lebanon, writes that for ten months villages in southern Lebanon have been facing daily destruction, people are killed, crops are burned and people are displaced without any horizon or benefit for Lebanon or its citizens: "If all the Lebanese are asked, they will say Unanimous - 'Stop, we don't want a war in which we have no interest and we have no interest or benefit in it.' " In the article, the Shia cleric added that the ISRAEL that is after the Shevah in October is not the Israel that was before the Shevah in October and its power is far greater than Lebanon: "I swear honestly that the war is near Very much and you are the only one who can stop it and save our country from destruction and the citizens from destruction by making a historic decision to stop the military operations immediately, announce it openly and let the Lebanese army take full responsibility for the border, if not, you will bear full responsibility for everything that the ISRAELI army will be done in Lebanon and you will be responsible for the destruction of Lebanon and all the blood that will be spilled. Logic and the laws of Islam oblige us not to throw ourselves into perdition and your religious responsibility is very great - not only yourself, but not to throw into perdition an entire nation and an entire country. That's my advice to you..."

Everything that can be told this morning about the operation to retrieve the bodies of the kidnapped from Khan Yunis: During an IDF operation led by ISA field analysts and coordinators, the bodies of the murdered hostage Maya Goren, and of the fallen soldiers held captive MSG (Res.) Oren Goldin, SSGT Tomer Ahimas, SGT Kiril Brodski and SGM (Res.) Ravid Aryeh Katz were rescued from the Khan Yunis area. According to reliable intelligence obtained, it was determined that Maya Goren was murdered, and MSG Oren Goldin, SSGT Tomer Ahimas, SGT Kiril Brodski and SGM (Res.) Ravid Aryeh Katz fell in combat during the brutal October 7 attack, and their bodies were abducted into Gaza. The intelligence effort prior to the operation was directed by the ISA and consisted of a combination of intelligence from ISA terrorist interrogations, the IDF Intelligence Directorate Hostages Headquarters and additional sources that contributed to the operation. The IDF and ISA will continue to operate, using all intelligence and operational means necessary, to fulfill the mission of rescuing all of the hostages.

This morning, Hamas launched several rockets toward Israel from a humanitarian area in Khan Yunis that actually ended up hitting the UNRWA 'Al-Qarara' school. Following the failed launches landing in the area, reports were received regarding the deaths of two civilians and the injuries of multiple others.
