This is wrong and also the reason most marriage fail.

My dad used to cook better egusi soup with tomatoes back then. I don't know where he learnt that, maybe Lagos, cos that's where he grew up. Na me dey help am grind the tomatoes while my mum , sister and other siblings will be watching movies at the sitting room.

Cooking doesn't stop a man from being a man.

They do that because they got what they wanted, but not all of them do that.

If your woman does this just get another woman to come and cook.

Men should also learn how to cook

Me and my wife we both cook

Some food I can cook better than her, she doesn't touch anything when it's time to eat the said food vice versa

It’s not about the women
It’s the foundation you laid for her
Women relate with u based on how to teach her or let her sees u

Marry traditional ladies not the woke ones
And don’t tolerate nonsense

Is life the same in university and after?

That's why it is not advisable for any guy to date or marry any lady that has dated a Yahoo boy before.

They are a disaster waiting to happen.

Men should try and learn how to cook. Don't allow any woman hold you hostage because of food.

If she refuse cooking, enter kitchen, make your meal, eat and bounce. Then, deprive her of things she normally gets from you.

I hate to see men complain about food every time. Cooking is a basic survival instinct not gender based.
This is not a wise solution unless you have both agreed to this with reasonable reasons or you are actually tired of your wife.

Oh it's dysfunctional because the men are cooking and the women could actually sit in the living room and enjoy themselves.

This stinking mentality is what makes men and women at bukas give ladies strange looks and attitude when they come to buy food. Enjoyment is only for men. It's a sacrilegious thing for women to sit back while the men cook. Or even while other women cook. Because women are below and the slaves.

Fvcking fake tin gods.

I have some questions for you bro:

1. Why were you and your dad preparing food while your mother and sister relaxed in front of the tv?

2. Were they busy working all day and were so tired they needed to chill?

Could it be that you were raised to cook while the women chilled, and this is the reason why you feel it's OK for a man to go out, provide and still return home to prepare meals?
Re: Cooking: Why Do Some Nigerian Wives Do This? by gotnel: 4:45pm On Jul 25, 2024
Men are not exempted from cooking.
Cooking/ preparing your food is number one priority in every human schedule.
When you are hungry and famished, nothing else will work out well until you eat.
So, cooking and preparing meals is a big survival instinct that man and woman must possess.

In marriage, yes, women are supposed to provide food for the household. The number one priority for woman in a family setting is to make meals for the family.
Where this assignment is lacking from the woman in the house, nothing stops the man from taking the responsibility of cooking for the house or at least cook for himself.
For breakfast, it takes a lot of responsibility for the family to make breakfast available before leaving for the day assignment.
The woman in the house must be the type that can manage time and resources and take responsibility seriously for the family to be able to enjoy breakfast every day of the week.
God help us

Na see finish dey cause am. And somehow I dey believe say women are lazier than men. Their complaints dey pass work wey them dey do. Men work hard and quietly... May be becos they are always expected to work hard and provide for the family. So, they have resolved to their fate, while women come into marriage with the mentality of - I will be taken care of.
