A Man should be able to cook... cooking doesn't make someone less of a Man...I cook in my home most times...I go to the market to buy foodstuffs most times...I wash dishes most times...my wife and I are happy in love...I don't do those things to please my wife...I do them because is what I'm used to even before I married Her.. sometimes when I'm at home and doing nothing...I pick dirty clothes and wash them... including my wife's clothes... marriage is about understanding...is not rocket science... the important thing is just to marry a woman who loves and respect U... doing those things won't be difficult for You... sometimes me and my wife will be joking about who's the better cook among us...so we do everything together in love...it makes my home full of love... even when we don't have enough money to do basic things....

My partner loves to cook , in fact today my aunt paid an unexpected visit and caught him in the act , she praised him endlessly , I used to deliver my soup when I cook now she's doubting I'm the one that made those too

House chores are divided too , he's in charge of washing bathroom , he tends the compound from weeds and he washes the heavy stuff like sheets , towels and blankets .

I don't have a job for now but I'm hoping for a miracle to locate so that we can work hand in hand financially.

I do the laundry , the dishes and I go to the market , he does all this when he sees I'm tired , I make sure he doesn't come home to dirty dishes , an un mopped floor or a pile of dirty clothes.

His work is active , so I don't let him repeat clothes because he sweats a lot , people look at me like I'm suffering when they see me washing his things but they don't know he's my family and my baby.

When I don't eat , he feels so awful and some days he has so little and still gives me all because he believes I'm in a better position to use his money wisely , I can price ehn

My man is one of a kind , I've been with kind men but he's an angel and I hope he knows this , we're planning to open a business before officiating anything but in the mean time we do everything together.

You're not seeing it from the other side bro. In a family setting there's what we call division of labour, that's a situation where members of a family are to carry out their expected duty in other to enhance functional family system. A man can not come back from work very tired and you'll be expecting him to go and start cooking when the wife is there doing nothing, is totally unacceptable. If she's a working class woman we might understand. Some women will even be watching movies at home while their spouse is starving, but they don't care. Couples are supposed to support each other in marriage by playing their roles effectively for the benefit of the children and family at large. If a man wants to cook it should be at his own free will not because his wife refused to do her primary duty after coming back from work.

As simple as cooking sounds, it could be difficult when either of the party is tired. Many women burn water on fire let alone foods. And some house getting burnt could have been saved if a tired person had not forgotten food on fire as a result of being tired.

It is the job of the husband and wife to manage the house, which includes cooking and providing revenue for the household. If both husband and wife work, they should share cooking responsibilities. In olden days, men go to office and earn More salary than women. Single salary can cover all the needs of the house. Women cooked.
Now, they have done education, equal rights equal pay. Women earn same or even higher than men. You can't expect this new type of woman to sit at home and cook for you.
If you insist, she will want to practice her career and then get exhausted working in the office.
If you don't want her to work in office, then you the man, have to earn sufficient money to cover all the needs of the house.
I have a friend that does this. He commanded his wife to use her salary to take care of her own parents and siblings and don't use any of her money in his house as he doesn't need it. So she knows clearly that she is NOT supporting him financially and she cooks without complaining.

As I am, my wife worries alot if I didn't inform her earlier that I am coming home from work, so that she can cook. She never gets tired cooking for me, even till now. For that food matter, I must eat ooo and she must cook.

He want to go through hell before marriage so it's his cup of tea. Some didn't and if cooking is a tradition duty of the wife, then the husband should do the traditional thing by providing the money 100%

And if they live as a single father, they also will not work as hard, cos no inlaws to impress or wife to satisfy, just their child.
