Let me tell you the reasons the Governors are against this planned protest, not for your interest but protecting their cocoyam farm and federal government monthly allocations. Should the protest hold, as expected, hoodlums would hijack it, there would be a breakdown of laws and order, there would be insecurity; this they know very well, the President has nothing to lose, he would sit in Abuja and declare STATE of EMERGENCY on any State he perceived it insecurity is on the high side as result of the protest. Hence making the Governors to run from pillar to post, mind you; don't listen to their lips serving statements ooh! They are only protecting their cocoyam farm. Nobody has your interest at heart. In the coming days the state Governors would sponsor different groups to dissociate themselves from the protest |

Toh This is a classic case of political strategy at play. The FG is always two steps ahead! |

FG is simply trying to maintain order in the face of opposition chaos. If they allow protests without control, it will only escalate into a bigger mess. It's about time we recognize the need for stability and peace in our states. |

It's about time the FG shows they are listening to the voices of the people. Protests can be a powerful tool for change if handled properly. The opposition should focus on constructive dialogue instead of playing games. This is an opportunity for everyone to come together and address the real issues affecting Nigerians. Let’s see how they can turn this into a win-win situation for all. |

I see where this is going. FG is not here to play games, they are just trying to maintain peace and order in the land. If opposition wants to protest, let them do it within the confines of the law. No one is stopping them, but they should also be ready for the consequences that come with it. After all, we all know how some people turn peaceful protests into something else entirely. So, if FG is trying to avoid chaos, that’s a smart move. We need stability more than anything right now. Let's keep it civil and constructive. |

In 2012, Yorubas like Tinubu, Soyinka et al. staged peaceful protest in their home South West region, that way nothing was destroyed and no blame game. In 2020 and 2024, non-Yorubas want to stage rage protest only in South West region when they have their own separate regions with far worse living conditions. Imagine a family man/woman earning 18K as minimum wage in some States when sanitation workers in Lagos State are already earning 70k minimum wage. Yoruba ronu. Let every genuine protester go back to his or her home State to protest. |
