You're very wrong, she isn't a presumptive nominee, Biden's victory at the primaries is what made him a presumptive nominee. You don't become a presumptive nominee by 'word of mouth' endorsements by "delegates". There's nothing legally, officially or legitimately making her a presumptive nominee right now. It's even irrelevant because Trump has said he is ready to have multiple debates with her if she becomes the nominee of the democratic party so why not go do your part and elect her as the candidate then let her come for the debate?

The formal nomination will happen before the convention. They are doing it because some Republican states were threatening to keep them off the ballot if they didn't do it early. Ohio set the date for Aug. 7th.

Ohio pushed the deadline till Sept 1st. But the law in which they pushed it back goes into effect Sept 1st. So, that looks like a litigation trap to me.
In the past this used to just be waived to allow the parties to have their conventions whenever they saw fit.

Biden won the democratic party primaries and was literally the candidate of the party elected by the vast majority of the democratic party supporters. Kamala is none of that, she didn't win any primaries and she can only be seen as the candidate when delegates vote for her at the convention. That many party elites endorse you doesn't guarantee that you'll get the votes of delegates. How does that imply that the law is a new bill that will only become a law on September 1? The law was already a legally binding law in Ohio, it was only amended to extend the deadline for filing your candidate for the Ohio ballot. Lol, it isn't a new law that will come into effect in future, it's a law already effective, amended by the legislature and the amendment signed by the governor, there's nothing making it not effective until September 1

That is done when the delegates vote. The delegates will vote for Harris on the roll call vote on Aug. 1st instead of the convention this year.
The convention is just window dressing. If it doesn't happen it wouldn't matter.

Who was he supposed to debate in this year's primaries? There was none because their was literally no contest, it was over before it started. Same reason Biden didn't debate anyone in this year's democratic party primaries, there was simply no contest and nothing to debate about.

Harris will lose the rust belt states of Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, these states are populated with rural folks mainly white men and women who would never vote a female black woman for president, these same groups of people voted against Hilary Clinton a white female.
