From the 90's to 2000's and 2010's, Jehovah's witnesses used to be Aggressive, Persuasive Gospel Preachers.

*When they knock on your door, they NEVER Stop till you open.
*When they preach, they argue and make sure they win you.
*Even on Christmas day, they will waylay you and start telling how the celebration is Roman Pagan holiday.
*In my house then, I had up to 60,70 AWAKE and WATCHTOWER magazines.

But, from 2020 till now, you HARDLY see Jehovah's witnesses preaching.

And BTW, One of my committed young JW friend is now a YAHOO Boy with JLK.

While another JW Girl I used to crush on those days based on her Innocent looks
is now posting Short gown Picx on WhatsApp and Instagram.

Recently,I even met one Jehovah witness and I told him --"if to say na only Jehovah witness dey this town,Keke riders for dey hungry,cuz they hardly board Keke....

But these days, you would have observed a Non-chalance about them.😌

Remembering the fine WORKS of God's people {Matthew 5:14-16} that's commendable.

However you're not observant enough to see us in your neighborhood because we are still going from house to house and door to door in fact in our just concluded circuit assembly the baptismal candidates were all teens and youths of course they can't be baptized if they are not preaching and teaching in their neighborhood.

So thanks for remembering God's people and try to avail yourself when next we come around there are lots of good news in store for you.

We do get the same instruction globally about how to go about our ministry. People are becoming hostile these days so when we knock and nobody responds it's assumed there is no one around or we are not welcomed that's why we must take our leave unlike before when we try as much as possible to reach them.

We did this during the COVID-19 pandemic but the instruction we received from him is to come and knock on your door {Matthew 10:11-13} though COVID-19 marked a 100 years of our going from house to house because we actually started this house to house work in the year 1919 perhaps 2019 is a warning message to the world at large we do not know but his instruction is that we continue until the conclusion of this system of things! Matthew 28:20

Perhaps you don't understand what led to the hostility so i will explain.

Before COVID-19 most people are less hostile to religion but after the pandemic and their religious leaders who often deceive them with stage-managed miracles failed to find a solution 50% of religionists became sceptical about faith in God and miracles so majority gave up on anything having to do with faith {Matthew 24:12} only few are now listening to us since we have been telling them that there is no real miracles these days.

That's the reason for the increased hostility everywhere today!

The Dogs tore the Brother's Long sleeve into shreds.

I Still know of another Elderly Woman those Days, who uses Stick to Chase them if she mistakenly sees them in her compound.

But they will Smile, were Undeterred and still went on Preaching with Zeal and Enthusiasm.

But These Days, You guys are WEAK, LAIDBACK, DULL and PASSIVE.
Once Jehovah's witnesses approach a person and he says I don't have time,
U pple just turn their Backs and start Going away.😕

In Britain, they have a Huge Anglican and Catholic population
But they do NOT go to Church on Sundays. :😏

There are many reasons why this is happening - not just in Nigeria but all over the world.

Because of social distancing and lock downs of COVID 19, Jehovah's Witnesses were ordered by their GODS to stop going out to preach in 2019/2020

They even stopped going to their kingdom hall for 2 years - they did all of this virtually through Zoom.

To put it simply, this made the JWs lazy - imagine finally getting to spend your weekends at home resting after many years of going out to "preach" every weekend.

Moreso, in October 2023, one of their GODS (guardians of doctrines) - Samuel Herd, gave another order - Jehovah's Witnesses are no longer needed to record their monthly preaching hours.

For 103 years, Jehovah’s Witnesses have been required to fill out a monthly report that included the number of hours they spent in the “preaching” or “witnessing” activity.

Members of the religion were also required to report the number of “placements” of Watchtower literature, including magazines, books, booklets, and other printed material. In recent years, the Organization’s headquarters also required the notation of the number of “views” of videos shown to the public during conversations with non-Witnesses.

Before the recording of hours was abolished, as a Jehovah's Witness, if you don't record at least 10 hours every month, you would be considered as "spiritually weak" and because of this, you won't get access to "responsibilities" especially if you're male.

Now that recording hours is more required, it has made JWs even more lazy.

What's the use of going out to preach if you don't have record your hours and show that you're "spiritually strong" ?

This is exactly why they are now dull in their evangelism.

Even yesterday Saturday, I know YOU DIDN'T go out to Preach.

To add to this above comment, the Cult is also dying. JWS are either leaving or do no longer attend their Kingdom Hall as frequently as they used to do. In many countries outside Naija, specifically developed countries, they are selling their Kingdom Halls off. The Cult is just experiencing a slow death. Their leaders are seeing this and begging the younger ones to take the Cult seriously because once the older ones die, the Cult will die. Unfortunately, younger ones no longer take the Cult seriously. Some JWS are now researching the Cult and finding out so many Scandals and unpalatable information that have been hidden from them since it's inception.They are also seeing that their Doctrines are made up Lies! The internet is another factor responsible for it's slow death. There is just too much information on this Cult to be ignored.

Your observation is still very valid. The morale started dropping once COVID started and continued afterwards. Many JWs woke up and researched the Cult during COVID and found info they have been hiding from them which is why they are not allowed to research the Cult. If your mode of Brainwashing as a Cult Leader involves keeping your members very busy so that they cannot research your Cult and ask questions, they will slack if you give them a little breathing space. But because their Leaders are too proud to admit that there is a very obvious slacking and morale, they decided to remove reporting hours for preaching to cover up. This removal then resulted to more slacking. Their leaders have been begging them to increase the morale and keep preaching but still the slacking increases. They have even been begging JWs that are disfellowshipped and others that have left the Cult to return back. They will make changes hoping to attract them to come back to the Cult. 😀😀😀😀😀😀

What you are seeing is a Slow Death of the Cult. Just watch, after some time, seeing that the slacking remains, their leaders will bring more changes to see if it will boost their morale but it will be too late.

At the bolded, Yes. They mainly go out to preach so that they can have hours to report to their leaders. The Hours reporting has been vigorously used to determine who is really serving God in the Cult but most especially to determine who is spiritual weak or strong. They have touted it as a means to show how spiritual you are. If you don't have hours to report, you will experience Soft shunning, meaning, some JWs will avoid you and term you as Spiritually weak. You don't want to be called spiritually weak in JW. Also, if your hours are low or you don't report hours, you will not get positions in the Cult as a Male. Hence, why they go out to preach. As you can see, the morale to preach has gone down telling you the real reason why they preach. You can see that the Cult is doing things backwards unlike other Christians that preach to win souls for Christ. JWS are never taught that their preaching is to win souls for Christ. They are taught that their preaching is to recruit more members for the Cult.
