Would Peter Obi have allowed a protest as a governor?

Peter Obi will continue to torment you till eternity

Tinubu as president doesn't want people to protests against his calamitous economic policies but he and his allies sponsored funded and organized protests and civil disobedience against the Goodluck Jonathan government even went as far as threatening to form a parallel government.

I have said it before and I will say it again, it shall never be well with those who worked, supported and encouraged this calamitous Tinubu regime

Read again! Ordinarily all that is necessary to securing the mandate is the vote of the people. However, Okonkwo insists that more than that is needed and we all know he is inferring that some playing in the form of rigging may be needed. undecided

I didn't ask for your comment so I am not certain what you mean. All 4 men top of the ballot in 2023 -- Obi, Tinubu, Kwawanso, and Atiku---, were all incompetent and inept servants of the people whose records did not hide any of this fact. undecided

These two are just playing to the gallery.

While Obi is busy trying to prove he's still relevant, Otti is simply trying to ride the wave of popularity. Both of them will end up achieving nothing significant.

Obi's protest will be another flop, just like his presidential ambition. When will he learn that shouting on the streets doesn't equate to real change?

If he spent half the energy he uses for protests on actual governance when he had the chance, maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess. Protesting won't change the fact that he lost the election.
All these talk with no point

Some foolish human beings are saying give Tinubu time. Time to do what exactly? Give an 86 years old man with dementia time to do what exactly? Do Nigerians really think at all? Na so Buhari take waste 8 years of our collective destiny.

Not only is this statement not according to the Constitution, it also undermines the concept of what freedom is really about. If Nigerians have freedom to gather and protest but are to first report the expression of said freedom to the authorities for what i believe is for approval of some sort, then are Nigerians really free to protest? undecided
There is nothing like "freedom to protest" anywhere in the Constitution. There are rights of peaceful assembly and a right to freedom of expression that are jointly construed to create a right to protest. However, all freedoms are inherently limited by the extent to which they may impact others. Now Otti has also misconstrued the limitation, as the requirement is that intending protesters must merely inform the police of the time and place of their protest, which is not only very constitutional but also in line with international human rights norms.

What energy is he spending on protest? The energy Tilumbu uses to beg people not to protest could have been diverted to delivering good governance but the idiot would rather send his daughter to be threatening people not to protest.

Protest itself is not bad but just like endsars ,there are criminal elements whose intention is to steal ,maim and destroy under the guise of protest .

1. That is why I just told you there is no such constitutional right to protest. There is a right to assemble as long as your assembly does not impede my freedom of movement and constitutes a public nuisance. As I've told you, this is a well-established human rights principle. See Article 27(2) of the African Charter for example.

2. Of course it is true. Your right to free speech is limited by a requirement that you do not defame others, constitute a public nuisance, make seditious proclamations and so on. Similarly, your right to assemble must not impede my right to a freedom of movement.

Obi has nothing to do with the protests

It's all a south west propaganda

None of you or the presidency has called out a single influential Northerner that openly called for protests.. their names are out there

Calling this an "obi protest" shows how cowardice runs in your blood.

The Northerners are actually laughing at you lots..
