Yam is cheaper in Ekiti. Quit arguing blindly. Only place that are known for farming Yam in the North are Taraba, Niger and benue. Most them haven't been able to go to their farms due to insecurity
Yam can't be cheaper in Ekiti than Benue. Cool it with all the talk of insecurity. Yam has always been transported from Niger, Benue and Abuja gwari villages to Lagos. Where was Ekiti then?
And stop advertising your ignorance. Almost ALL states farm Yam in Nigeria

10 tubers of that size at 15k translates to N1500 per tuber. Very cheap. A tube of that size can't be less than N2500 in lagos.
It's fair really because of the humongous charges we daily experience with wicked people of Lagos but on a norms, this shouldn't more than 8 or 9k

Most yams produced in middle belt but we no what's causing the scarcity. Most farmers land are now illegally occupied by terrorist back state.

They are easily identified by the foolishness in their posts, yet they hardly make comments without elements of insults. Now, between Ekiti and the North, where is yam expected to be cheaper?
You're saying nonsense.

That yam is around #4,500 per yam in the north. In ekiti if it is around #5,500 per yam you won't get it.

He is trying to tell you how bad tinubu has destroyed the country unlike under GEJ era when that yam is not less than 600-700 per yam. Instead of attacking your govt same way tinubu attacked GEJ you're busy attacking the guy

You don't just sit down in your little space and imagine things in your small head. I've travelled all 19 states in the North so I'm writing from experience. Niger, Benue and Taraba have always been some of the largest producers of yam in Nigeria but in recent times, this hasn't been the case due to the insecurity challenges the North is faced with. There's plenty f farming communities in parts of Ado in Ekiti. I can't change your mind if you cannot afford to travel to these places. Na inexposure; if there's a word like that dey worry you😏

As someone who has travelled? What is the size of Ekiti compared to Niger and Benue? Ekiti is not even up to a third of both states in terms of size.
Besides that, is there any yam market as big as Zaki Ibiam Yam market in Ekiti? Have you been to yam Market in Garatu before in Niger?
Even on the internet, Benue is the largest yam producing state in Nigeria. So you're the one battling myopia

When we tell you to move around, you'll sit in your hamlet writing rubbish.
Oga I'm in Ekiti right now. Last market in Omuo. I bought 5 pcs of small yams for 1,500. I was told that yam doesn't cost pass 500 before.

Bro, go Ilasa in Ekiti and you will get that quantity for lesser pay. But I can tell you yams r cheaper in Ekiti than north, but Ekiti yams r not as big as the Abuja yams

In Niger, yam of medium size used to be about 300. Quote me anywhere. In Benue, the yam they call Benue yam used to be 700 for one. I hope you know how big Benue yam is.
I'm telling you that you can't get that yam of that quantity for 1500 for today's Nigeria.
The yam market I visited in Niger state last, I got 100 tubers for 320k. That's 3200 for 1.
You can't get those kind of yams in Ekiti

Why's so hard for you to understand things are not as they used to be? People are getting abducted on their farms. Some are made to pay levies before they use their farmlands? A very simple instance. Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna is very popular and known back in the days for farming beans but today it's a dead zone. Again. You clearly don't go out alot or travel much because you can't afford to. So I can understand your ignorance 🌝

Have you ever been to birnin gwari? Have you been to Garatu, Mekira, Munya, Gulu in Niger state? Have you been to Igede side of Benue? They are still farming yams till tomorrow. So don't use the things you hear on radio to judge what's on ground.
Except you want to claim that bandits have taken over more than one third of the two states. Abuja even has more yams than Ekiti. What the hell are you saying?

Birnin Gwari is in Kaduna state where I live. I ply the route alot. Going by you assertion that more yams are produced in Abuja than in Ekiti, shouldn't yam be cheaper in Abuja than in Ekiti? 😅 Do you know how much a tuber of yam cost in Abuja?
Re: ₦15k Yam In Ekiti: Fair Deal? (See Photos) by IfnobeGod20(m): 9:18pm On Jul 28, 2024
Based on the prevailing situation, this is cheap but this will be like ₦30k in Lagos.

There is a difference between the political north and the geographical north

Look at this map compare Oyo and Ekitti with Benue
They are at similar latitude and enjoy similar weather AND TERRAIN

Ekiti and Oyo are very good for yam production like Kogi
