Why not they simplify adoption process so that couples go this length? Adoption in Nigeria can take 5 years. If they shorten it two a year or less people will not go this route.

Funny thing is that the couple may be decent and will be able to give the child a good life.

But I don't blame government for making adoption difficult. Because in Nigeria,when the adoptive parents birth kids biologically,they begin to neglect the adopted child. "You should be grateful we adopted you,don't start raising shoulders or dragging properties with our own biological child. Know your place"

what made you think the parents that bought the child are evil? What they did was illegal but you can't call them evil or indecent. Adoption takes many years in Nigeria. They were doing a naming ceremony for the child. Obviously the biological parents may be poor or the dad dead beat,the child life will be improved. Though they did the wrong thing,but they are not evil

Why do Nigeria always cover the faces of criminals, if this news was from other countries, you will see their faces clearly , what happens to shaming in criminology to deter others from committing crimes. Show their faces and write their full names so that they could be identified by other victims .

They may eventually undergo a trial by jury, plus they are presumed innocent until proven guilty at a court of law...so all that is to minimize the chances of the defence lawyers getting a mistrial on the grounds of bias (yes it happens).

Also, other countries do the same thing. Germany not only does not show the face, but refers to the criminals by their first name, and makes their surname an initial
