Police could be overwhelmed on that day, it might take 2 or more hours to mobilize soldiers. Any past victim of ethnic cleansing should not call for violence because it would not favour them. |

Quest7777:Hanks Anuku did his own and the message was heard all over the world. Part of the problem is government trying to stop the protest. Let them come out and do their thing and go home. The problem would start when government loyalist would try to stage a counter protest or uneducated criminals try to take advantage of the situation. |

Major problem of Nigeria is about 95% of Nigerian population don't understand the cause of Nigeria's problems. They wait for a messiah president to emerge to save them. But they don't understand that no messiah can emerge from the present lopsided political structure of Nigeria to save them and Nigeria. Some even hope the armed forces will intervene, but don't know that the armed forces contributed to the country's present predicament. |

ForUrgentSale:this is a staged arrest to bring fear to the minds of protesters - like saying - wow, this could be me - for the visuals, photo opps its like a politician telling a story of how he met some man in the street who complained about hunger bla bla bla - so that listeners can tune in and relate that man to their own situation --- yeye police wey no fit arrest Fulani herdsmen walking in broad day light inside open forest with 200 kidnapped people BUT can find a tik tok user inciting violence ? - abeg make dem go dye o jawe ![]() |

This is what the police should be doing, clamp down on everyone who want to take advantage of the peaceful protest to commit crimes. This is a welcome development. #IsupportPEACEFULprotest #endBADgovernance ify2016:

Klington:Atleast you can see the people leading the protest and it was non violent. Advocating for violence is a no no. A protest should not be faceless. It need leaders to micromanage the peaceful outcome |

Kobicove:wait to arrest 20 million scape goats on the 1st of August - shay you get prison wey you won put them ? ona go hear word ![]() IF Nigerians 1 out of every 10 Nigerians in Nigeria will join this protest - (10%) that will be 20 million - even the heavens will know something is not right with the earth - people come out and protest - better than dying indoors - starving with no one seeing you die of starvation A former Congress man was asked here in the US why Government gives Americans food vouchers to buy food, assist with unemployment benefits / child care/ subsidizing milk / and other things for the citizens - why not cut all that benefits and save money for the government The man replied that the cost of giving out these benefits is way way economical and easy for America than the fallout from people turning to crime out of the desperation to survive without benefits --- how many people army won shoot? Do you remember what happened in Egypt during the Arab Spring when President Hosni Mubarak asked the military to shoot protesters? the Military saw the numbers and they backed down because they will be overrun in minutes - all the ammo they have can not kill 1% of the people gathered - so where will they hide when the remaining 99% of the surviving protesters come for them ? hmmmmmm FIDEL CASTRO once said - NO FORCE ON EARTH CAN TAME OR CONQUER THE SPIRIT OF A MOBILIZED PEOPLE!!! |

Serves him right.... It is your right to protest but the government also reserves the right to arrest you if the protest threatens to turn violent... The same infrastructure wen you Wan destroy... U go still expect government to replace am... Is that not even more reason for them to steal and loot funds ![]() Some Nigerians no get sense honestly..... Protest peacefully.... No destruction of infrastructure.... It's as simple as that.... Even for UK... They recently sentenced some protesters to 4 years in jail for violent protests.... |
