This is quite interesting.

Yobe youths distancing themselves from Tinubu rally? I no fit understand wetin dem dey think.

Tinubu has been a beacon of hope for many, and for youths to turn their backs now is just baffling.

I believe there’s a deeper reason behind this move. Maybe some people just wan shine their eyes or dey seek attention. Na only the strong go survive this political terrain.

Tinubu don show say he dey ready to uplift the youth, so wetin be the wahala?

If dem no join the rally, na dem loss. Jagaban go still carry on with his vision for Nigeria regardless.

Yobe youths have clearly missed the memo on unity.

This is the same narrative they pushed during the elections, but guess what? Tinubu still emerged victorious!

Just like they say, "he who laughs last laughs best." While they distance themselves, we’re busy rallying behind our president who’s busy working for Nigeria.

Their distance won’t change the fact that Tinubu is the people's choice!
He emerged victorious to do what?

. Tinibu, people‘s choice? Like seriously? If anything, Nigerians accually came out en-mass to vote against your failure tinibu. He was Mahmood‘s and the btribed judiciary‘s choice not the people.
Even in the west, the Afenifere were against him so which people were you talking about?

Hunger and hardship can not be suppressed.

Nigerians should come out to protest peacefully against hunger and hardship like VDM.
VDM didn't commit a crime. Protesting peacefully is never a crime.

And it is the job of the police to ensure the rights of peaceful protesters is not infringed upon.

More like...what's in it for me

Most Nigerians rely on a complex system of patronage to survive, which is dependent on (not always, but mainly) tribe and religion.

IN 1966, the five majors struck. Within 24 hours, everyone hailed them and called them heroes...even the North. Within a week, when the dust settled, the North realized that most of its leaders in the tripod leadership were gone.

The coupists were patriotic NIgerians who actied in the interests of their country, but the coup also wrecked the delicate patronage systems that existed at the time. That led to crisis, and eventually to war.

(Remember that the US removing Saddam was a good thing, they removed an oppresive leader, but they also removed a vital controller of some of the violent thugs and tendencies in the region. And they regreeted it. Same with Ghaddafi, removed a brutal dictator, but also removed a complicated system of checks and controls that kept the violence in the region down, and led to disastrous consequences).

The same thing is happending to day. That is why we can never have a unified people's revolution in Nigeria. Because at the end, there are too many delicate patronage systems that would be upset. That is why the people telling us not to protest now were saying the opposite in 2012, or the people who are now protesting were quiet in 2020, and 2012. Nigerians are in it to preserve their precious systems of patronage, and if things get tipped over, it means war.

And if we split Nigeria, the same thing is going to happen in the new countries. Plus we are not an industrial nation, so we don;t have enough jobs and money for everyone, and that is why those patronage systems have become too too important (IN AMerica, while they exist, a rich businessman is going to employ a guy from a poor background...if the guy has the skills he needs. He won't employ his nephew or his friend's son in that position so long as their skill set is not up to it).

It is not due to bigotry...in my opinion, we are not too bigoted. (I spent a large part of my life in the Muslim North and no one told me, as they did in Sudan to non muslims nentering the bus, that the slave knows its master. Yes, that's a crude bigoted slur used by some sudaneese against other sudaneese. With attitudes like this...). A Nigerian wants to preserve the system of patronage, because it is how he or she survives. It can be broken, but, as seen in the begining of the old Soviet Union and the PR CHINA, it means a prolonged period of crisis, and destruction before things get better...and no one wants that.

Hungry Nigerians still collecting money to rally for a failed president.....

Our mumu no too much?!

The old man ( tinubu) can't even admit he has failed the people and quietly give way for better Nigeria.

Pls to all Nigerian youth, they are the few( government), we are the many(masses).. they can't do without us.

We should ring that into their empty skulls come August.

It's power to the people not to the government.

That dude verydarkidiot first pretends to be on the side of the people. Then he employs tactics to whittle down people's actions by claiming they are doing it wrong. Then presents clownish or impossible tasks as something that should be done instead. Remember by then people already have his audience as one of theirs.
What this does is it weakens the resolve of the people.
