That's art for you. There are different shades of black, when properly blended on a house, the beauty radiates. Art is magical.

Yes. Lots in the abroad..but they are not jet black. Mostly very dark grey Hardie board siding with touch of oak coloured wood and pillars like the door in your picture.

Not recommended, black absorb sunlight and you know the level of sunlight in Africa.

Unless you'll have cooling system running all days, your house will always be hot.
