This is the prayer we need in our country

Every Nigerian should watch this documentary at least twice to see how things have not changed in Nigeria in 40 years.
Everything she spoke about in the documentary in 1984 has either remained the same or gotten worse.
Even Achebe that said he wouldn't leave Nigeria back then eventually left and stayed abroad for years before his eventual final retirement.
In fact this documentary should be shown to every Nigerian.

Tears welled in my eyes when I reminisced of her songs I listened to as a child in 80 and 90's.

She was such an exceptional talent.

The favouite cultural dance song in primary school in the 90s was her track inyogogo iyo go inyogogo or sometimes like that.

Another great song of hers is dancing in the sun.

My favourite song of her is one love keep us together. The electric guitar played on that track was fire. If I was to marry an Igbo woman, it would have been an Imo woman because of the Elegant stallion - her nickname. She was my woman crush as a kid.

So far, she is the best female musician to ever come out of Nigeria. I can't think of any other that comes close to her. I am sure people born in 1980s and below can relate very well. Let's celebrate her while she is still here with us.

Watching this documentary makes me so sad and angry, seeing the degeneration of my beloved country, and how terribly worse it got up to this point. One thing is certain only the youths speak up when things aren't going right just like madam Onyeka did here, and to this this day same thing applies. Yet they are trying to tell the present day youths to shut up do not protest, turn a blind eye, because they claim to be working. I tell you 40 years from now things will be even worse for our grandchildren. It's a shame are we truly caused?
