If he's given a clear first team chance and end up not impressing enough to earn game time, it is still Arteta that everyone will still blame for it. This is so bewildering I don’t know how to reply. You didn’t bother to spot potential world beaters in your club and leave it to the U21 coaches and co. As if you don’t know that coaches might be biased and acting according to instructions from above.

Talents shouldn't be walking away free from our academy. This is bad and I hope they are learning.

Although Chido Obi sparkling performances came in the last season of his contract and he did not give room for renewal and opportunity for Arsenal to make gains on him. I expect our academy management would have learnt from this loses and do better going forward.

Giving exceptional talents opportunities is not trial and error. The sensible thing for any club is to give their academy guys the best environment to reach their highest potentials. If an exceptional talent is miles ahead of his teammates, the onus lies on the club to promote him so he can improve.

That’s how to breed world beaters, not stifle their growth in the name of “gradually grooming them”



I’m only reporting on what I’ve heard and read and commenting on them. What’s clear is that the kid hasn’t been given the barest minimum of assurances. For a supposed top club, that’s really poor.

I Know you want to sound funny but you aren't because Chelsea selling Hutchinson to Ipswich might be the reason you guys wouldn't be winning the league next season.

But on the player side, he has lost an opportunity with a big club. Arsenal wouldn't have sold him and having been with the club for long he would be considered as a long term project and possibly backup for Saka.

Those fans that felt Arteta doesn't use academy players and said he would play for Chelsea how far?
