He scored the goals with the Under-18s not just Under-16. It is now clear many of you don't even follow your academy but want to make assertions you don't know about. This is not speculation but what some of us followed as it happened.

March 16 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 3 goals against Crystal Palace

March 30 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 4 goals against Fulham

April 6 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 1 goal against West Brom

April 9 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 2 goals against Brighton

April 13 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 5 goals against West Ham

April 20 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 1 goal against Villa

April 27 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 7 against Norwich

May 4 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 1 against Spurs

May 11 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 3 against Chelsea

27 goals in his last 9 Under-18 games of the season.
The mod has nothing to prove at U-18 again. He is a beast of a finisher. Let’s see how he performs at the U-21s and how other aspects of his game is. If he’s a beast in the air and has a decent touch and holdup play, he might reach the top top.

the Dubbery argument seems more logical than this chidi matter. If he's given a clear first team chance and end up not impressing enough to earn game time, it is still Arteta that everyone will still blame for it. Good luck to him at man utd, if he turns out to be the next Haaland, fine, we will take our loss and move on.
Dubbery have scored two goals already in one pre season game he played for Brighton.

He will be valued at 100m next time arsenal asks Brighton about him.

Honestly I agree with you on this.... The loos good money we could have made is panful. Our academy management need to improve their business sense.

Talents shouldn't be walking away free from our academy. This is bad and I hope they are learning.

Although Chido Obi sparkling performances came in the last season of his contract and he did not give room for renewal and opportunity for Arsenal to make gains on him. I expect our academy management would have learnt from this loses and do better going forward.

This is so bewildering I don’t know how to reply. You didn’t bother to spot potential world beaters in your club and leave it to the U21 coaches and co. As if you don’t know that coaches might be biased and acting according to instructions from above.
Please don't get me wrong. I think you are taking a phrase out of my sentence out of context.

I follow all our teams on all the social media, I watch most if not all out matches highlights and I see all the results. What I don't do regularly is watch all our academy and women matches full time like I watch our 1st team, and that is not because I don't want to, but because I am busy with work to have all that time.

That said, even if I watch all the academy matches and believe certain players have potential to shine, I still believe the managers who are with the players know more than all of us and I will always respect their judgement more than any fan's opinion. Also, only an unserious manager will be biased against a talent that can win him matches, and our academy has levels of management; decision on promotion and management of bright prospects is not for just one person to make at Arsenal Academy.

On Chido, no matter what any person or Chido's family say, I (personally) still believe that Chido left because Arsenal couldn't take the risk of giving him the money he wanted and not because he wasn't given a clear path to 1st team. I have accepted our loss and that Man U gained. I believe Lessons have been learnt by the management, let's see how they perform going forward with other talents and let's move on.

Look at the fast clean money we got from balogun
That's the kind of business we should be doing

Giving exceptional talents opportunities is not trial and error. The sensible thing for any club is to give their academy guys the best environment to reach their highest potentials. If an exceptional talent is miles ahead of his teammates, the onus lies on the club to promote him so he can improve.

That’s how to breed world beaters, not stifle their growth in the name of “gradually grooming them”

I’m only reporting on what I’ve heard and read and commenting on them. What’s clear is that the kid hasn’t been given the barest minimum of assurances. For a supposed top club, that’s really poor.
Asking them to be fast tracked into the first team and see if they fail is a trial and error method. It is based on uncertainty. You are practically setting them up to fail. You do know how devastating that can be to the young players? Gradually introducing player to the men's football is not in anyway stiffling their growth sir. A lot of our academy boys were getting praises in our last two matches. How long do you think they have been training with the first team?

And the key word here is 'Exceptional'. How many of these players can be termed as exceptional? To some Arsenal fans, once you're in academy, you must play first team football by fire by thunder. They don't take into consideration these kids' performances at academy level.

It is laughable how you come to the conclusion that Arsenal didn't give the boy the barest minimum of assurances. 15k as wage, promotion to U21, an occasional training with the first team and the coach even personally sat down and discuss with the boy. Maybe you have other suggestions sha

About the money aspect, we can't rule out the players' factor too.
Balogun went on loan, performed well and we got 40m for him. ESR is going for 35m now and could have been more if he had managed to stay fit and play.

Now consider Patino's performance on loan for instance, imagine demanding 30m for him. This is also part of the issue.

Edu himself knew this is worrisome that's why he has been inserting sell-on clauses in their contracts lately.

I Know you want to sound funny but you aren't because Chelsea selling Hutchinson to Ipswich might be the reason you guys wouldn't be winning the league next season.

You can bet on that when arsenal meets Ipswich town on both legs.

Till then , Hutchinson leaving arsenal is a huge mistake for you guys.
Lol

For your mind you don talk sensibly abi? Like Chelsea will not play Ipswich grin

Chelsea got 25m for a player they got for free
Is that a good or bad business let's hear it?
Good business for Chelsea.

But on the player side, he has lost an opportunity with a big club. Arsenal wouldn't have sold him and having been with the club for long he would be considered as a long term project and possibly backup for Saka.

Those fans that felt Arteta doesn't use academy players and said he would play for Chelsea how far?
