For example, Wheat has a 70% import duties on it, I think Rice has a 90% import duties or so. This duties automatically double the price of the commodity from the initial price the importer buy it from.

While the policy won't fully crash the price of things, it will reduce the prices of those commodity.

The govt need to find a way to make the exchange rate go down significantly though.
