Na him dey inside dey see wetin the government dey do because we no dey see workings like this. The government has been to lethargic when you need them to be decisive and urgent in addressing the challenges we are facing.

Whether what he says will later come out to be true at the end of the administration remains to be seen, but so far so good, this government will be remembered for hunger if things doesn't change asap.
My question was straight.....do u believe his words of Tinubu being the best president (adult age)..??

What he sees is not really different from what his predecessor saw.....but we know what has befallen d nation...

And his ministry is one of the easiest sef

How many Nigerians care about his ministry compared to say Power Finance Labor Works etc
You think his ministry is easy. The telcos are all agitating for an increase in subscription costs and the govt has not been complying. Which may be why there has been serious degradation in quality of service. My WhatsApp quality has been shit for over three months now.

We juts saw the fallout of sim-nin linkage issues

I was in a meeting today with someone who wants to engage a full time vendor. The person is committed to doing so. They have no choice but to pick one of the vendors they interview. That is what an election is. Or an interview. You have to weigh the pros and cons and pick someone.

As to the state of Nigeria I do not expect it to be easy. We have been on too many unsustainable subsidies for too long. And now we are broke. There is nothing happening today that pundits have not warned about for years.

What is the price of a litre of petrol or a kilowatt of electricity? Can a private investor supply these at below market price and somehow break even?

Reality has been dodged all this while but it remains undefeated

Even you know Peter obi was the lowest denominator of all the candidates - but your own argument is that you cannot reward apcs failures not that Peter obi was actually some sort of hyper competent administrattir with a proven track record and people skills

You are a naira and kobo entrepreneur so you know how it goes with projects and employees and planning and shit hitting the fan.
I remember one job interview it was at a bank. I met a guy there and we became friends

They were asking they called me in first and before I panel I was just serving my lamba then one of the interviewers just started to use me catch cruise

Later he asked why should we hire you, what are you bringing to this bank. I started my long winded rehearsed lines of being an engineer very good with numbers etc, he cut me short that there are already many engineers here, even one of the ED is an Engineer, then I pivoted that I can bring new innovative ideas, the guy just said to his fellow interviewers that see this boy oh. He just called us dundee, then I started backtracking and quickly knew I was on the wrong track. Later they eased on me and started laughing that there is no skill I'm bringing that at least 500 people don't have more. I didn't debate it

We pivoted and they started making fun of me that I'm too tall they don't have cubicles that will fit me

We left laughing and I was a little thrown off

The other guy we went together they asked him the same thing and he doubled down on how he can build an application that can replace flexcube blah blah. They ended laughing him out of the room

They knew we were all serving lamba but make it believable

So, i believed Obi would change Nigeria.

It is you, who believed that Tinubu was lying to you, and went, not only to vote, but continued to defend him, that amazes me.

I'm amazed, bro[/color]
Did Obi change Anambra in 8yrs which made you believe he would change Nigeria?

I supported him because he has the best track record to deliver or just manage the situation better
Na this managing the situation better thay Tinubu has gotten wrong. I'll always say that removing that fuel subsidy on that first day is reckless and not well thought out. We are still suffering from the after effect till now.

The first 1 year of an administration is when the administration enjoy a little bit of goodwill but he eroded that goodwill in less than 1 month.

No matter how lofty your ideas are, you should be able to implement it in a way that wont turn everywhere into chaos.

Buhari did not budget for subsidy beyond May 31st because he just packaged it for the next person

Cost of paying subsidy was running the country bankrupt even all governors agreed that if subsidy didn't leave they won't be able to pay workers beyond May

Imagine a situation that oil prices dey the same place in May 2023 but workers have not been paid for the past 1yr

Do you think it won't be worse than it is currently?
Have you lived in a state where workers weren't paid for 6months, I think You were in Osun during the days of Aregbesola half salary.

Captain Idris Wada was one of the finest pilots in NAF but during his reign as Gov of Kogi State he could barely move a needle. Before he became Governor he was rumored to have said allegedly how will employees entitlement not be paid as and when due but during his time civil servants were owed and paid in percentage
Wada ran EAS to the ground though. They were notorious for owing staff

First let us clear some lies.
OBJ is living proof that this country progressed as against regression during his time.
Industries were booming.
People were coming back to naija.
OBJ had alot less to work with than all presidents after him. So how did he do it?
Even GEJ with all his corruption had an economy that was on growth trajectory with the likes of China.

Now for the ministry aspect.
Again let us look at Dora and what she did with public health and how effective she was.
How did OBJ do it?

Let us look at Mama Iweala under OBJ.
So is the issue the president or the ministers or both?

We can also look at Adesina with GEJ😁.

Did you somehow think that Tinubu would wave a magic wand and we would get money in our treasury, eradicate oil theft, sort electricity and rehabilitate our refineries? In the space of a year? You are an adult and you in know better even if you enjoy trolling

PRESS RELEASE

NELFUND Continues Student Loan Disbursements Across Nigerian Tertiary Institutions

August 2, 2024

In alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for Nigerians, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has continued the disbursement of substantial student loans to institutions and students nationwide.

In the light of the foregoing, NELFUND has so far further approved student loans amounting now to over N2,530,235,750, being disbursed across many institutions, benefiting 22,120 students.

This strategic effort aims to ensure that students who really need the funds can continue their education by lowering burden of financial constraints.

So far, six of the twelve institutions have received full payment of their institutional fees, covering over 20,000 students. The total amount disbursed to these institutions stands at approximately N2,026,163,340. A further six will receive their payments in the coming week.

These disbursements will ensure that Nigerian students can proceed with their academic activities unimpeded, fostering peace of mind much needed for these students and their families.

In addition to the institutional fees, NELFUND has also commenced the payment of upkeep to students.

This initiative will provide essential financial support for living expenses. A total of N442,400,000 has been allocated for the month of July.

The upkeep payments will benefit all 22,120 students across the twelve institutions, with more to come in the coming weeks and months, reflecting the federal government’s commitment to the overall well-being and academic success of Nigerian students in government institutions.

These figures highlight NELFUND’s unwavering dedication to ensuring that financial constraints do not impede academic pursuits.

NELFUND believes that these disbursements will significantly ease the financial burdens on students and their families, enabling them to focus on their studies and future careers.

The Fund want to use this medium to clarify to the general public that disbursements are made based on each institution’s academic calendar (beginning of session).

NELFUND extends its gratitude to all the participating institutions for their cooperation and dedication to this cause.

We also appreciate the continued support of all stakeholders who have played a pivotal role in making this initiative a success.

Signed:

Nasir Ayitogo
Head, Media and Public Relations

All the sanctions that were imposed on Nigeria because of Abacha's rein of terror by the west were lifted at OBJs swearing in. OBJ did not do ANYTHING special. Regardless of what you heard now in hindsight.

Even GEJ with all his corruption had an economy that was on growth trajectory with the likes of China.
LAMBA. They changed the metrics for determining growth to sell this obvious lie. You can't be borrowing heavily to service salaries in a thriving economy. It is similar to how Fauci and his hordes of deranged psychopaths changed the definition of a vaccine so they could coerce people into taking an mRNA gene therapy in-the-guise of a vaccine.

Nigerian govt borrowing billions to pay salaries – Okonjo-Iweala
byPremium Times May 6, 2015 Reading Time: 2 mins read
In the face of dwindling oil revenues, Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, said the Federal Government has borrowed about N473billion to pay salaries and fund the 2015 budget.

The Minister, who was speaking in Abuja on the details of the N4.493trillion appropriation already passed by the National Assembly, said the federal government had to raise its borrowing level from N570 billion to N882 billion to enable it meet its financial obligations to workers and contractors.

Yes there are no easy solution to Nigeria problem means you must be careful not to compound those problem. Nigeria was already tough as it was before he removed the fuel subsidy, after removing the subsidy, the shege level was increased by x10.

I'm of the opinion that if he had waited for maybe 6 months maybe to critically access the situation of things, he would've come up with a better way to manage the fall out of the fuel subsidy removal. He can easily send a supplementary budget request to the NA to cover the 6 month.

Now the government is on the back good struggling to even catch up. It's self sabotage.
