Such a shame. The youths in the South East are missing a golden opportunity to stand up for their future. Instead, they're choosing to remain silent while the rest of Nigeria is moving forward. It's no wonder the region is lagging behind; when you refuse to engage, you only get what you deserve. |

| Re: D by KEVIND: 10:20am On Aug 03, 2024 |
@LandMann, Since i was born i have never seen or heard where any part of Nigeria supported or encouraged the South East in any cause or issues they clamour for. pls educate me if there's any The South East supported all other regions since 1999 against their own, from Obasanjo, Yar'adua, Jonathan. when they ask other regions to support their own. You all came out hard on them, calling them all sort of names & even threatened them to go back to their region. It obvious the South East can never satisfy you lots. In the face of all this hate & animosity towards them, they have managed to survive without your support. So, Oga keep your support its not Needed. |

| Re: D by OfoIgbo: 10:54am On Aug 03, 2024 |
LandMann:Even though Igbos are not part of the protest, ask yourself why the Lagos people want Igbos out of Lagos. Because they know, if Igbos were a part of this struggle, Igbos would have been a huge part of the EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest. It is even better Igbos are not a part of it, so as not to give the Tinubu government a chance to use ethnic profiling to destroy the protest. Tinubu and his gang are now being faced with the reality of the demands of the protesters. Tinubu and Onanuga no longer have the usual Igbo scapegoat to use to divert attention from the demands of the protesters. Hunger Dey, is a phrase that completely applies to this protest. Tinubu's minions are still working overtime, to rope in Igbos, but Igbos are several paces ahead of them. One guarantee you will get out of this, is that you won't see any real Igbo demonstration in support of Tinubu's government, or Igbo demonstration against this ongoing protests. Igbos have a lot of negative experiences, being a part of protests, so they/we have chosen to not be a part of this current protest, not because we don't support it, but because we want to avoid the negative consequences that have been heaped on Igbos for many decades now. Igbos have been protesting this bad government since 2015. We knew PMB would be a disaster, and he turned out to be a disaster. Igbos also protested with their votes in 2019 and 2023, but some other people chose to elect and rig in an incompetent duo |
| Re: D by trutharena: 10:55am On Aug 03, 2024 |
This is the same narrative we’ve been hearing over and over again. If South East youths continue to shy away from standing up for their rights, they’ll end up with nothing but regrets. The future is at stake, and they need to realize that silence won't bring about change! |
| Re: D by anungangampu: 11:06am On Aug 03, 2024*. Modified: 4:03pm On Aug 03, 2024 |
Simple and Short. If this protest is going to have any meaningful impact. Igbos should distance themselves away from it. As it takes just one post from Bayo to change the narrative. By now Yoruba Ronu would have trended so many times. It was clear from the start that the only strategy to stop this protest in Lagos was tomake it look like obedient in extension igbos are taking out their anger because Peter Obi lost againt Tinubu. Even the most elite mind will believe this and it will be hard for Nigerians to get any demand across. Buhari played this game too when he was busy trying to remind igbos about the war and them being dot or whatever. The strategy has been " dont complain because igbos are complaining". We knew how his tenure ended. This is same for Lagos. If you want Lagosians to take back their state. Igbos should not come out to vote. ACN, APC only stategy since 2012 is to use Igbo hate to chexkmate opposition and protest. Yes it would affect igbos but just understand Nigerians have a very low IQ. Even before the Protest, the presidential media team has already started mentioning the like of Pat Utomi and Peter Obi as organizers and this could show you what could have happened to a common igbo man in the street if a strong directive wasn't made to abandon the protest. |

LandMann:Oga are you voting for Southeast or voting for a better candidate? 2027 vote bulaba again una go hear nwhin.. As it stands now, the only thing that can reset Nigeria is a violent revolution and that can never happen because we are never united. IGBOS will not join any rubbish protest. The worst you people can do is threaten and gaslight us online, but the day you monster enough courage to carry out the threat is the day you will understand our collective resolve. Make hunger reset una brain well so that by 2027 una go protest by voting right otherwise we continue until the cesspit finally sinks. |

LandMann:When have Yorubas or Northerners ever joined Southeast in solidarity to achieve any Southeast goal? Southeast voted MKO Abiola, Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan and Atiku. When it was time for other regions to rally behind Southeast to produce their first President since the end of civil war, what happened? Yorubas started a tribal war against Southeast, did everything possible to paint Peter Obi as an Igbo project and threatened Igbos in Lagos to stop coming out to vote in Lagos state. Buhari used his Presidential power to destabilize southeast using state sponsored gunmen, military and DSS to make sure Southeast becomes insecure, he also unlawfully renditioned Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya which aggravated the unrest in Southeast. Igbos started a peaceful sit at home protest to register their displeasure with Buhari's wicked handling of Southeast issues, did Yorubas or Northerners join Igbos in solidarity so that peace could return to Southeast? NO! Instead they hailed Buhari and encouraged their brother Tinubu to continue to hold Nnamdi Kanu while they watched Southeast burn to their pleasure but when Sunday Igboho was arrested for agitating for Yoruba Nation, Igbos stood by him and when he got released Igbos celebrated it and hailed Igboho but you wicked Yorubas keep repaying Southeast with wickedness and inhumanity and you people think God and nature will be kind to you Yorubas and your land? You guys should continue, your time to receive nature's payback and karma will surely come, it may take some time but it must come. The sins of Bola Tinubu and his Lagos APC gang will be visited on you guys, if you doubt me, ask your men of God to interpret Deuteronomy 5:9-10 to you guys supporting Tinubu's demonic and voodoo politics of tribal division and diabolism |

A tribe y'all can weak, now you'll want their involvement in the protest. You're just here spewing trash, you care about their future? Omo, this your thinking needs to be studied, because it's supercedes every foolish thought known to humans |

South East youths don dey sleep for this matter. How dem go expect better future when dem no fit stand up for wetin concern dem? E go shock dem when dem realize say na their silence dey bury their own future. If dem continue like this, na so dem go dey follow others dey make noise while dem dey suffer for back. Time to wake up and smell the coffee, or dem go end up for the same old wahala wey don hold dem down for years. |

LandMann:EndSars protest never happened in the north but for some reason you had nothing to say about that, why? Igbos said from day one that they will not be part of the protest, and they stood by their word, why is that suddenly a problem for you? Shouldn’t you have engaged them in a dialog before the protest? All you have displayed here is Igbo hate. You stay silent when Igbos are being blamed, but suddenly start speaking up when they react |

KEVIND:The fact is that the southeast was the first to set fire on any bridge of unity in Nigeria through the 1966 coup. The responsibility therefore lies on the southeast to rebuild that bridge through working with their closest neighbors (southsouth) and those they truly wronged with the coup (north)... Those are the two regions the southeast must appeal to and join in whatever struggle they face. The attitude of mocking others or trying to face Nigeria's neocolonial challenges alone will never work. Like that lady pointed out, a lot of people from southwest are complete sellout and betrayers. They'll perpetually betray the overall south and they'll always gaslight others to making the wrong move that will put them in advantage long-term. It's no mistake that their people are protesting alongside the north. Whatever benefit comes from this protest, the north, southwest and a little of the southsouth will enjoy it alone. If it fails, the entire country suffer but a lot of people will not forget that the southeast looked on and laughed while they struggled. This will fuel more distrust and attitude to leave the southeast alone when they're being marginalized. Perhaps a lot of your scholars need to go study sociology and psychology and start educating you guys cos when independent parties who can look at the silent war between the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria without prejudice try to advise you on the way forward you stubbornly refuse to listen. Unless you are a government propaganda zombié I don't see any other reason why you can't sit down and think about what I have said and weigh it against the long term interest of the southeast before rushing to respond |
