A Military Dictator Would Have Addressed The Nation, Why Is Tinubu Silent? by Electorate(op): 11:23am On Aug 03, 2024
Whenever the country or her people are facing challenges, a leader will address the people on national tv, that is leadership...even a notorious military dictator will come on national tv to address the people e.g Abacha with his signature "fellow Nigerians" opening speech.

Why haven't President Tinubu come out from hiding to address the people he is serving, is he happy with the current state of the nation? Does he even care about the people?

The moment the people realize the leader they look unto for solutions to their problems shows no empathy they become more angry and agitated.

Expect chaos in the following days.

Maybe Tinubu want Nigeria to burn, he doesn't care. He never believed in one Nigeria, So, I am not surprised. The signs are now glaring...I hope the military is taking note

Max24:
Yes, a military dictator would have addressed you with threats and Decrees made by himself and his military council. He would have sanctioned everyone inside their fathers houses. Gatherings of two or more would have been banned. It seems some of you never experienced military rule. Ask Sowore, ask Shehu Sani, ask Falana, ask Tinubu, ask
late Ndubuisi Kanu, People like Deji Adeyanju and Verydarkman would have become target practice with their stunt yesterday. Google what happened to Ken Saro Wiwa, MKO Abiola, Gani Fawehinmi, Pa Abraham Adesanya. It's a child that does not know charms that calls it vegetables.
yarimo:
Address criminals that already made up their minds to steal and burn infrastructures
Oliver Twist, past Democratically elected President like Obasanjo, late Musa Yar'Adua, Goodluck Jonathan, Buhari have all at one at a time come on national tv to address Nigerians ...Tinubu have never for once addressed the nation on national tv...Is he TV shy or afraid to Bala bulaba?

No we don't want him to address anyone let him stay there he will make it worse than it is now. If the money stolen by Buhari's friends are not returned we don't need a state address its going to be full of lies and decipt.

Toh

Is it not better for a leader to choose his words wisely than to speak in haste?

Silence can be a strategy too, sometimes less is more.

Let's not forget, this is a democracy we are building, not a dictatorship.

The issues at hand require thoughtful solutions, not just mere statements.

Patience is key, let's give him the space to act in the best interest of the nation.

You want him to give what he doesn't have?

Even if he addresses Nigerians some people will still not be satisfied. Their grouse is that their kinsman lost to Tinubu, no more, no less. But are they the only one who lost to Tinubu? Meanwhile that their Messiah kinsman has not been able to help Otti pay #30k minimum wage in Abia yet they claim he would turn Nigeria to Dubai. Nah for mouth Dem dey do am. Start with Abia and let's see your doings, then watch if I won't vote for him !

Tinubu is not a military dictator; he’s a democratically elected leader. Silence is sometimes strength, allowing for strategic planning rather than hasty words. Let’s trust the process and give him the chance to lead without unnecessary comparisons.
