Disappointed by the low turnout of protesters on the third day of #EndBadGovernance Protest in Nigeria, a prominent Obident on X, PIDOMNIGERIA, has appealed to his fellow Obidients to contribute money, "so that they can assist protesters who do not have money to feed and transport themselves to the protest ground."

It is an open secret that though the ongoing protest is not going on in the South East, majority of the protesters in Lagos are Obidients, majorly of Igbo extraction.

Due to the campaign and threat of reprisal attacks should any violence or destruction of properties take place, the protest has remained relatively peaceful in Lagos, with many Yoruba youths backing out.

The protest which started with pump and pageantry on Thursday has lost its steam to the disappointment of Obidients who had wished for the repeat of what happened in 2020 during the #ENDSARS protests.

In a facesaving attempt to make sure the protest last its 10-day original plan, they have had to resort to raising money to "bribe" protesters while tagging it "Feeding and Transport Fare Support."

PIDOMNIGERIA is a diehard Obidient from South East and he was a huge supporter of Mr. Peter Obi during the 2023 Presidential Election in Nigeria.

Can we jointly transport and feed some genuine protesters daily for the remaining 8 days here on Twitter?

If you are in support of this initiative, and you wish to feed or transport some random protesters, please send me a DM.
You can feed or transport as many as 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, or even 100 persons, depending on your capacity. Transportation of 1,500 naira per person, and food of 2,500 per meal.

If you are a genuine protester, and you want food or transportation, then wait for my next post. If the public is willing to support you, i will definitely inform you guys.

Please don't send me any DM for now, if you are a protester in need, until i put out a post requesting for such. The only DM i am expecting should be that of those willing to support.

Hunger in the Land.

The response from the public is huge and encouraging. Some good spirited Nigerians are willing to transport as much as 60 persons to different protest venues in the next 8 days, while some are willing to feed as much as 20 persons.
But we have a small clause, before anyone could benefit from this noble initiative. We have to separate genuine people in need, from the fake ones.
We can only support those genuinely in need of food or transportation, if they meet up with these little conditions.

First.

You must take yourselves to the protest venues, do a video from the protest ground. Mention date, year, state and venue you are protesting from. You don't necessarily need to show your face. But let your voice be audible enough in the crowd.
Tell us what your need is in the video. If it is transport or food.

If you are genuine and lucky, someone will credit you.

Secondly.

This support is not for everyone, and not everyone will benefit.
You might be lucky to benefit once, or twice depending on your genuineness and seriousness to our cause of protest in the next 8 days.
The process for support can be changed or altered at any point without notice, with addition of new ideas and plans to make it seamless.
Only those who find themselves at the protest ground will benefit from this initiative.

We have raised 1,500 naira for transportation for 40 genuine indigent protesters, to enable them participate in today and tomorrow's protest.

We have also raised 3,000 naira for 20 genuine protesters, to support them in getting at least a plate of food after today or tomorrow's protest.

Total is 120,000 naira.

We know the protest is organic, hunger and poverty driven, but at the moment, we all must be our brother's keeper in any little way we could. Most especially for those without any means to carry on for so long.

Others should come up with other ideas to keep the protest tempo up.

For those who genuinely need this food or transport support, find your way to any protest venue and participate, do a video live from the protest venue.

Seems like protest has turned into a business where you need to pay to play. If you can’t afford a meal or a ride, maybe it’s time to rethink your priorities instead of begging for handouts.
