This sounds like giving credit to oneself

I expected Mr President to do better, those who prepared this address for Mr President did a very terrible job and now I understand why the country is in a mess

I am sorry, incompetent people surround Mr President giving him wrong information and advice that's if no use to the country

The text supposed to include message of hope that things will be better giving assurance that Mr President is working on how to make life easy for Nigerians and supported the claim with verifiable facts! We are going to share rice is not a message id hope because Nigeria is not at war, Nigerians are not lazy. Give them enabling environment and a stable economy

Still didn't address the issues on ground. He was just churning out gibberish, Nigeria is in
the hands of the Evil people of this country.

Let us prepare for the next coming elections and vote them clueless people out of power.
Northern Nigerian wake up next coming elections we have the numbers.
Re: 10 Things Tinubu Said In Public Broadcast by Ybholy(m): 8:17am On Aug 04, 2024
He’s on point BUT It’s not live speech.

It’s presentation of a written note.

He may not be fully aware of all the contents

Why don’t African leaders address the nation live. I mean, words from heart to mouth 👄?

Nawa o.

Gibberish. It's my turn, it's my turn. See where we are.
Re: 10 Things Tinubu Said In Public Broadcast by VIKTO83(m): 8:17am On Aug 04, 2024
This is probably going to be d last protest Nigeria will experience.
It's becoming more obvious that Protest is a means to loot and maim people and vandalise properties.
So next time now when people are organising protest those who had been bitten before will not align.

PUBLIC ORDER
“. There is no place for ethnic bigotry or such threats in the Nigeria we seek to build.”
If anything, ethnic bigotry was the bedrock of your campaign strategies

2. ECONOMY
I therefore took the painful yet necessary decision to remove fuel subsidies and abolish multiple foreign exchange systems which had constituted a noose around the economic jugular of our Nation and impeded our economic development and progress.”
a policy combo that made the masses canon fodder for the ineptitude of your party's decades of rot.

“These actions blocked the greed and the profits that smugglers and rent-seekers made.
Yet the corrupt still enjoy massive windfalls from your chameleonic policies.

They also blocked the undue subsidies we had extended to our neighbouring countries to the detriment of our people, rendering our economy prostrate.

But these same countries now have currencies that have improved and are almost equal to or greater than the naira already

“This has given us more financial freedom and the room to spend more money on you, our citizens, to fund essential social services like education and healthcare.
It's basic needs of affordable food and transportation we need. Healthcare is till comatose and treatment beyond the reach of the common man.

3. INFRASTRUCTURE
“We have also embarked on major infrastructure projects across the country.
Just like the VP's residence and private jets.

4. OIL AND GAS
“Our once-declining oil and gas industry is experiencing a resurgence on the back of the reforms I announced in May 2024
An industry that still remains one of the most opaque and corrupt yet it's personnel who have been at it's helm of affairs for years remain untouchable

“We have started the distribution of conversion kits and setting up of conversion centres across the country
When? With 2 major partners and less than 8 out of 36 states?

5. EDUCATION
by setting up the student loan scheme. To date.”
Carrot and stick. Hike tuition and then give loans

6. GRANTS
“Payments of N1billion each are also being made to large manufacturers under our single-digit loans to boost manufacturing output and stimulate growth.”
Why are big manufacturers then packing up?

7. MINIMUM WAGE
“I signed the National Minimum Wage into law last week, and the lowest-earning workers will now earn at least N70,000 a month.”
Good one at least

8. AGRICULTURE
“ import duties should be removed on rice, wheat, maize, sorghum, drugs, and other pharmaceutical and medical supplies for the next 6 months.”
We never see results
we have also ordered mechanized farming equipment such as tractors and planters, worth billions of Naira from the United States, Belarus, and Brazil. I can confirm to you that the equipment is on the way.”
When we are already in mid season. huh

9. #EndBadGovernance Protests
“But we must not let violence and destruction tear our nation apart."
True

10. SECURITY/PEACE
“Security operatives should continue to maintain peace, law, and order in our country ”
Perhaps consider prioritizing the pale riders from the North who are hindering our farmers from cultivating in peace.

Am looking for a single point in this speech that address just one point in this economy and misuse of power by those in position of power to serve. All the so called social funds are just audio funds. The govt should bring out offices and address with Web site that house this fund if they are real. Those that benefitted should be on the list as we have freedom of information bill in place. This speech has nothing in it. There are ministers that should be taken out. There are so many ministries that should be merged. What stop the president from stopping all govt appointees from using public funds on private jets and first class and going abroad for medicals with public funds. What stop the govt to reduce in port duty by 50 percent and export duty with same. Making Nigeria work is not rocket science. All this social funds can never solve the economy problem or add any value to the economy. Declare mechanized agriculture in all state on 20 thousand hectares of land from this month with each planting 2 items as minimum on it and see if we won't start feeding Africa by next year. We spend money were we dont need it.. all this farms can generate there own power for water using solar or bio gas. Changing Nigeria is simple if we want to change it to a country that is producing goods and services for the world

Public Order. Protect lives and property.

President Tinubu, you know that some hoodlums hide under release Mazi Nnamdi Kalu to kill in the southeast zone.
Why not release Nnamdi Kalu so that those hoodlums will have no more excuses to do mayhem in the southeast?

Are you gaining anything from continued detention of Kalu and the killings in the southeast

Mr President should be given Kudos in his efforts to give Nigerians something good but in all these,if there are no concerted efforts to cut down on cost of governance, am afraid the journey is still far

How is good governance replicated in the above ?
Corruption in all levels of government.
Politicians living large with tax payers money.
Inefficient Minister's not performing, yet still left to continue in office.

In essence, Tinubu is saying that the protester's demands are baseless that he has nothing to say or do about their baseless demands.

It will take an extraordinary INEC magic rigging for Bola Tinubu to win a reelection in 2027.

He already knows that its game over for him, so he doesn't care about the future consequences, by the way he will be nearing his grave after his 4 years maladministration. Yorubas will suffer the consequences of foolishly supporting this evil failure without remorse in the name of tribe.

I wonder who told this conman that a new Coastal Highway from Lagos to Calabar and Badagry to Sokoto are Nigerian people's priority now as they battle with hunger, worst ever inflation and widespread unemployment.

It is well.
You be adult
