⁵ And crying out to Lot, they said, Where are the men who came to your house this night? Send them out to us, so that we may take our pleasure with them.


Following God's instruction, both Abraham and his Nephew Lot traveled together as nomads out of Haran, into Egypt and out of Egypt into Bethel.

As a result of God's blessing, both Abraham's and Lot's livestock became too surplus for them both to live comfortably where they settled.

Abraham, despite being much older than Lot, allowed him to choose first any part of the vast land to move in. Lot choose the well watered part of the Jordan that was neighboring Sodom (and Gomorrah) and relocated with his family and livestock.

However in Sodom, Lot was deeply distressed (2 Peter 2:7) when he discovered that the Sodomites were terrible sinners particularly in the sin of homosexuality.

The word "sodomy" which refers to homosexuality, is a coinage of the sexual perversion that was practiced freely by the people of Sodom.

The depth of sexual perversion practiced by the Sodomites was so deplorable, that God finally decided their cup was full and to destroy the land with fire and brimstone.

In a show of great mercy, God delivered Lot, his wife (who later became a pillar of salt) and daughters from the land of Sodom before destroying it by raining fire and brimstone on its inhabitants.

Although God destroyed Sodom and it exists no more, Jesus said something about Sodom that is so very much applicable to our generation today:

²³ And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

Despite we living under the dispensation of grace and under the power and miracles of the Holy Spirit, never before has the sin of homosexuality (and lesbianism) been so widely practiced and embraced like this generation of ours.

The whole world 🌍 saw this evidently in the opening ceremony of the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics, when the last supper of our Lord Jesus was portrayed by drag queens!

Infact, God would have to render a sincere apology to the people of Sodom if He doesn't judge the insane level of homosexuality that is going on in the world currently.

And concluding from the words of Jesus, the people of Sodom with all their depravity, would be spared harsher judgement from God before His white throne (Revelation 20:11-12) than this generation!


👉 An urgent call

God is calling all those involved in homosexual (or lesbian) relationships, to repent because the time is really short! ⏳

It doesn't really matter how much you have wallowed in sin, once you repent and forsake your evil ways, God will have mercy and give you a clean slate!

Abraham pleaded with God for the land of Sodom, and God said if there were but ten righteous people in the land, He would spare it but there was none! (Genesis 18:32)

God is also calling us to repent of all forms of sexual perversion that this generation has normalized through pornography. (oral, anal, fornication, masturbation, etc)

God hates all forms of sexual perversion and His wrath is revealed from heaven. (Romans 1:18)

If you guys spend more time emphasizing on honesty, truthfulness etc Nigeria will not be this terrible.
I mean those market women who exploit people at every little chance are currently in church as I type this, those executives that inflate budgets are presently in church.
