In as much as good intention as this government may have, proving it to the masses becomes cumbersome if the same government that removes fuel subsidies that benefit the masses can't remove the corruption in governance. You can't ask the masses to endure but look away while the cost of governance is skyrocketing |

Ttalk:That is the crux of the matter,it is only when it's the masses they have courage but when it's the elite they lose their courage You know why because the elite don't take shit, they will return the favour, infact it can lead to the end of the government, but the masses who are greater in number have limitless endurance level, they can endure and accept any situation provided it's from their leaders or their oppressors |

One major thing lacking in the presidents broadcast is his inability to speak frankly and inwardly. His speech just like the previous governments during protests has always been directed at the people. It is high time the government speaks to itself. Going forward, I expect the president to set a template of governance based on prudence and frugality. If there's anything that can easily build trust between the ruler and the people is to see a reflection of their lives in the life of their leader. Tinubu reform will not be complete if it doesn't address the flamboyant lifestyle of our leaders, whatever the gains of its reforms will be squandered by the gluttonous leaders if a template is not eatablished. Tinubu should listen to the people |

What Nigerians have seen so far from the fuel subsidy removal is increased money and allocation to the FG and its emperor state government who manage recklessly the additional resources at their disposal. Has this excess money translated into a better life for the citizens of this country? When state government allocations increased by 100%, does the state government increase their workforce by 50%, why free money to the purse of the state government when the Nigeria constitution as a Federation doesn't have control over state government spending? It is sad to see that the gain of the fuel subsidy removal has been squandered by the federating units otherwise we won't see hunger cries pervade the country today |

Tinubu is just plain stubborn that's it If we are to go by his words and actions, he has spent more on unnecessary interventions than they even say they spend on subsidy and yet things not really changing So there must be a missing link somewhere that the government has refused to admit |

There should be a complete overhaul of Nigeria budget. What is passed every year is just a copy and paste document where the figures are changed. No one will read a Nigeria budget and not see a doom of a nation |

The biggest mistake on his part, taken away subsides from the cabals and given it to the governors. At the end of the day nothing to show for it. The Yorubas will say "ole gbe, ole gba" We should not be lying to ourselves, nothing much this regime can offer. I don't think they have the capacity and the required intelligence to take this country to the next stage Initially I was thinking BAT will bring forward reforms and programs that will encourage production but all I am seeing is cluelessness For those who have elementary knowledge of economics, his policies are antagonistic of one another. At this particular moment, only God can save Nigeria. |

koxyz:Abacha created PTF, the fund was targeted at addressing peculiar infrastructural deficit. Obasanjo created ECA to save excess money realised from crude sale until it was taken to court by the emperor governors. A Subsidy Trust Fund should have been created at least this would have save us of gross mismanagement from the governor even we all know the governors will kick against it, at least it would have redirect attention of the people to focus on their governors when the money is eventually released |

Ttalk:If I were the President, I would have redirected the funds from subside removal to fund the agric and health sector I will equally see that the funds are properly managed and there will be measurable objectives to ascertain these The agric sector alone can absorb over 30 percent of the unemployed within a year, food will be cheaper. If we really mean business, that sector will start generating over 20 billion Dollars annually within 4 years and the value of Naira will appreciate. The advantages are numerous with multiplier effects on the whole economy |

koxyz:It seems the FG has lost out on that, the governors have tasted the golden apple there is no way that can be achieve now with the increased wage bill and getting more loan to finance such project would be a huge task as our creditors seems not interested in such ideas |
