Dangote AGO is inferior .. lab test from any depot proof this ..I can mention a depot that stocks It presently , just go and ask for quality assurance ..It is not top secret document ......once you are a known customer or even if not but ask for It it will be given because it helps you decide if it meets your required standard

This writer is part of the problems of Nigeria. Why didn't he also test the sulphur content of the diesel imported by NNPC, so that he can give us a balanced report. Saying it openly is not in the best interest of Nigerian economy. As regulators, the NNPC should have find a way to assist Dangote solve the sulphur problem. NNPC is a regulator and a competitor at the same time.

The problem is that the NNPC have been infiltrated and hijacked by the "Oil Mafia". Now this very dangerous "Oil Mafia" have the

The issue of sulfur content has never been issue in all refined products that are imported, why is it now a major issue between a government agency and the Dangote refinery?

Why run the Dangotes business down in the public space.

Whatever energy you have to pokenose into Dangotes refinery is enough to sniff out the impediment that has caused our refinery not to work despite billions in turnaround maintenance

We will not take it like that bro. Even thou I want Dangote refinery to succeed, but he has to keep us, and our environment healthy.

Dangote is just like out politicians; wicked, greedy and selfish. That's the truth. I believe from all I have gathered on this thread that his diesel output is heavy in sulphur. Does he really care? But he knows. .

As long as his pocket continues to swell up.

What I think a reasonable and objective govt and regulatory body should do is to embrace the refinery and ensure that its outputs stays within international requirement. This should not be a public issue, as we are having.

It's a public issue now coz the mafias and Dangote are fighting for dominance of that space.

I have more faith in Dangote than in any other Nigerian institution, including journalists. He has repeatedly proven himself. He promised to make Nigeria self-sufficient in cement, and he delivered. He even expanded by building cement plants in other African countries, including Cameroon, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia.

Dangote also vowed to build a refinery in Nigeria, and he has now established the largest oil refinery in Africa, located in Nigeria. This refinery will end decades of oil importation, which has been exporting high-paying jobs and taxes out of Nigeria. I am confident the refinery will succeed 100%. There is nothing anyone can do about it; they are merely fighting a lost battle.

That being said we need to understand that the equipment that reduces the sulphur content to below 50ppm has just started working hence those results are from the initial production of diesel around April that has been stored there for months in his tankers. any diesel production today from that refinery is below 50ppm but old diesel stored in the tanks that were produced say in May/june would be around 600ppm

Do you even know what data is? If you know refinery operations and laboratory testing works you won't say this. It doesn't work based on your emotions, once specifications are out of the range you have to do what operations want to bring it back in line not falsification. Even the best plant sometimes experience some of these issues wether it's BS&W specifications or others not to talk of a plant that is very recent in its operations.


Don't say this again, it has nothing to do with emotions. I have seen this happen in real time in the oil and gas industry were specifications were done to avoid regulatory sledge hammer. Just stay silent if you got nothing to say.

It's only a witchcraft-overwhelmed soul that will want a new $19 billion investment to just go down. . But that is how wicked the power players can be in a nation. It's all about self.
