Toh

Another day, another protest. When will these youths learn?

Maybe they should ask Peter Obi for advice on how to protest effectively since he seems to have mastered the art of doing nothing.
Someone who has mastered the art of doing NOTHING can't be an adviser on how to protest, Protest itself is an act of SOMETHING.

It is ipob that doesn't want the protest to end but this is not October 2020

It is very obvious you don't know the Igbo man very well. While you made attempt at describing the situation intelligently, you missed the part where you said the Igbo will not participate becos of some urchins lurking around armed and ready to pounce to save Lagos. That's where you got it wrong.

Fact is Ndigbo is not participating for obvious reasons.
1) They have shown capacity to read the Nigerian situation post Jonathan very well.
2) During Buhari, they made attempt at drawing the attention of the public to the fact that APC is a disaster that will ruin everyone economically with the reckless borrowings without any attempt to rejig the economy by means of investment in production.
3) The railway lines investment of the government then was seen as a waste as that was not very critical at the time to the economy.
4) They looked at interest rate which would have kick started the economy to be too high and tried to draw attention of government to it without proper response. Mind you they are mostly owners of small scale industries.
5) The forex cabal made it expensive to get foreign exchange to import raw materials for production while the CBN was colluding with some interests to circumvent the real sector and getting forex at subsidized rate to sell at the black market.
The Igbo saw through the noise without movement of the APC and decided to Sidon look.
Then enters Tinubu whose activities in Lagos is well known to many who had one business or two to do with Tue state government. The fleece, the tax fraud, the land grab, the agberos, the stealing of public assets, the corruption of traditional institutions, name it; it was the worst of a government. The Igbo knowing who the man was decided to use a protest vote to see if we could come out of the locusts years of the APC, but the man had bribed his way and the anti Igbo elements in the establishment thought otherwise and made him a president in the night.

So Ndigbo now said OK. You guys enjoy whatever after all how many of us are in public service. That's why the Igbo decided they are not protesting anything after all they are not the worse off. The little buying and selling they are doing is still sustaining them. If my cost is high, I pass it to the final consumer. Let's see who will cry the more. That's why they are not protesting. Not becis of one urchin or tug somewhere that you think is armed to the teeth that will intimidate the Igbo young men. Not in Lagos if the Igbo is affected directly. You know no one can stand them if they say enough. Their population of young men alone is enough to deal with anyone whatever arm the person has. After all no one has monopoly of source of arms when it gets to that. Doing some gragra at the beginning is not it. Sustaining the gragra is the real thi
ng. And Igbo is known for fighting to finish if it gets to that.
So let the people enjoy their whatever without the Igbo. They are not interested.

There will be no real protest in Lagos. This is for the following main reasons:
1. The Ibos are not protesting, they are a substantial part of the population and they are usually the ones without filter who express themselves openly and lead protests.
2. The yorubas on the other hand are divided into two: the educated and uneducated. The educated ones are also roughly divided into two, those who support the president and those who do not. Those who do not, need the ibos to spearhead the protest for them to follow. While for the uneducated, they wholly support the govt. So in total, three-quarters of yorubas in lagos support the govt.
3. There is a very vast and well mobilized army of ethnic militia thugs on fierce standby ready to unleash mayhem on the largest non yoruba ethnic group in lagos i.e the Ibos under the guise of "protecting lagos".
So, this is an added deterrent for anyone.

Since you asked, I will answer you thus:

if you say the extravagant spending was "preTinubu budgeted", was it a must for tinubu to spend on those items? These projects were budgeted, awarded and started preTinubu.

how were the rights of majority trampled upon the minority? Those protesting constitute the minority and you know it yourself but they make the loudest audio noise. but were prevented their right to move freely to work and conduct their normal business.

who are the minority and who are the majority? As said above, the minority are the organizers and zombie followers of the protest. Some of 5ge followers can’t even read and write nor know the reasons for the protest. Hence their motive is to loot, vandalize and steal.

who are the leaders and organisers of the protest? That much you should know, Sowore and his clueless co-leaders are the organizers and leadership and you will never see their children on the protest ground

why should they be prosecuted? For creating havoc in the land and an enabling environment leading to the destruction of government and private properties, looting of both and vandalism

how do you know that press9jatv you responded has his children abroad?. You can ask him if his children is in the protest ground. His children ARE NOT ON THE PROTEST GROUND. Ask him to show proof otherwise

the leaders of this country, where are their children? The leaders of this country are not the ones instigating the looting, stealing and vandalism and hence did not create an enabling environment. Some of their children are abroad and some in Nigeria.

I hope that answered your questions
1. the question I asked you is "was it a must for tinubu to spend on those items?" yes or no

did I ask you when the projects were budgeted for?

2. how were the rights of majority trampled upon the minority? dont you know the meaning of the word "how"?

3. how are the organisers of the protest the minority?

4. how did you conclude that "The majority are those not joining nor interested in the protest"? did you take a census? how did "they make the loudest audio noise" and where did "they make the loudest audio noise"?

5. who are Sowore's "clueless co-leaders"?

6. which havoc did they create in the land? if you say the protesters looted, destroyed and vandalised, what have those in positions of power been doing since May 29, 2023?

7. you claimed his children are abroad. since you made that claim, kindly tell me how you know that his children are abroad.

8. what are the children of the political leaders doing abroad?

so No, you have nt answered my questions

Tinubu has shown he cares about dialogue and unity, but some youths need to understand that change takes time. Protests are good, but constructive engagement is key. Let's work together to build the Nigeria we all want instead of just shouting demands. Unity is strength!
Protest is a also dialogue. We prefer it to the dialogue of calling some set of people and bringing them. The Tinubu kind of dialogue

It means if APC is paying ₦30k per account, HELINUES is probably balling with about ₦180k per month ON NAIRALAND ALONE.
And we've not even talked about twitter zombi3s and urchins!

1. the question I asked you is "was it a must for tinubu to spend on those items?" yes or no

did I ask you when the projects were budgeted for?

2. how were the rights of majority trampled upon the minority? dont you know the meaning of the word "how"?

3. how are the organisers of the protest the minority?

4. how did you conclude that "The majority are those not joining nor interested in the protest"? did you take a census? how did "they make the loudest audio noise" and where did "they make the loudest audio noise"?

5. who are Sowore's "clueless co-leaders"?

7. you claimed his children are abroad. since you made that claim, kindly tell me how you know that his children are abroad.

8. what are the children of the political leaders doing abroad?

so No, you have nt answered my questions
Since you asked again, I will answer you thus again:

1. The fund was allocated preTinubu, project started with money paid to the contractor preTinubu. As you know, if you want to exercise your sense that government is a continuum. if you say the extravagant spending was "preTinubu budgeted", was it a must for tinubu to spend on those items? These projects were budgeted, awarded and started preTinubu.

2. How? Read this my response and think! The constitutional right of any individual ends when that person infringes on the right of another person. You can now know how how the rights of majority trampled upon the minority? Those protesting constitute the minority and you know it yourself but they make the loudest audio noise. but were prevented their right to move freely to work and conduct their normal business.

3. With sense and sensibility, you can know who is the minority and who is the majority. As you’ve been part of the protesters (I assume), how many are protesting with you as compared to the general population, then you can infer who are the minority and who are the majority? As said above, the minority are the organizers and zombie followers of the protest. Some of 5ge followers can’t even read and write nor know the reasons for the protest. Hence their motive is to loot, vandalize and steal.

4. The above also provides answer to your item 4

5. At least I have mentioned the leader, you should know the instigators and his co-clueless leaders. who are the leaders and organisers of the protest? That much you should know, Sowore and his clueless co-leaders are the organizers and leadership and you will never see their children on the protest ground

6. You should know the havoc, looting and vandalism that the protests have caused all around ver the country unless you want to deceive yourself, to which I can’t help you with that. Yes, the leaders that we(because we kept hailing these looters and some of which have appeared in the protest ground and have been cheered by the protesters) are those ruling since 1999, hence now we just wake up because the current leader is Tinubu who has barely spent a year. Nigerians are their own worst enemy. why should they be prosecuted? For creating havoc in the land and an enabling environment leading to the destruction of government and private properties, looting of both and vandalism

7. You can ask him that question yourself if you are so inclined to know. The children of political leaders are and have been overseas (and so is my children and grandchildren- all 18 of them) and have been for many years. Nothing is wrong with the man having his children abroad or even in Nigeria. The point is that his children are not in protest ground, if they are ask him to send pictures showing him and the children how do you know that press9jatv you responded has his children abroad?. You can ask him if his children is in the protest ground. His children ARE NOT ON THE PROTEST GROUND. Ask him to show proof otherwise

8. Read number 7 above. the leaders of this country, where are their children? The leaders of this country are not the ones instigating the looting, stealing and vandalism and hence did not create an enabling environment. Some of their children are abroad and some in Nigeria.

I hope that answered your questions

Timmi:

I hope that answered your questions
that is not what I asked you.

1. the question I asked you is "was it a must for tinubu to spend on those items?" yes or no

did I ask you when the projects were budgeted for?

2. how were the rights of majority trampled upon the minority? dont you know the meaning of the word "how"?

3. how are the organisers of the protest the minority?

4. how did you conclude that "The majority are those not joining nor interested in the protest"? did you take a census? how did "they make the loudest audio noise" and where did "they make the loudest audio noise"?

5. who are Sowore's "clueless co-leaders"?

6. which havoc did they create in the land? if you say the protesters looted, destroyed and vandalised, what have those in positions of power been doing since May 29, 2023?

7. you claimed his children are abroad. since you made that claim, kindly tell me how you know that his children are abroad.

8. what are the children of the political leaders doing abroad?

so No, you have nt answered my questions

So, this is an added deterrent for anyone.
that is not case. this issue of igbos not to join the protest had started during the time of election and public offices. tinubu and his co workers started it, by using tribalism and religionism to divided nigeria. as now nigeria has been divided by tinunu regim. if you look through out the public office is dominated by youruba and hausa. can you see any igbo man in public offices, that will educate or advise them, how the economic of nigeria will grow. you can see none. nigeria economic still remain blind under yoruba and hausa regim untill igbo take over seat that when the economic of nigeria will come back to his strength but igbo will not take back the seat even till jesus christ come. igbo demand for them own country which is biafra.

Another day, another protest. When will these youths learn?

Maybe they should ask Peter Obi for advice on how to protest effectively since he seems to have mastered the art of doing nothing.
You posted the above around 5.45a.m . I believed you are aware at Ojota yesterday Sunday 4th August there is nothing like what was posted by the OP on the Firstpage. It is just mere propaganda. On Saturday, the same thing happened when they posted day 3 of riot at Ojota at 8.30a.m when nothing at all smilar to the picture ever took place. I observed Special adviser to the President on Social Media and especially Special adviser to Lagos Sate Governor on Social media are working wih the Social media or are being fed wrong information by their boys.

One funny Nairalander, AlexBells was telling me media coverage should not be banned as requested by the military. He said they used media for coordination , he gave example of coordination between Lagos and Borno. He said I was mistakng misinformation with coordination I agreed with his folly to discharge him. What is propaganda? what is misinformation? You are coordinating based on false information to keep the morale of the protesters in other States alive. You are boosting morale with Propaganda. During Biafra war, thousands of peope were dying, yet they were sending information that Murtala and entire soldiers have been killed at Asaba, they said Obasanjo and the entire 3rd Marine Commando have been wasted along Bonny creeks to keep the morale of dying people and soldiers alive at last it was propaganda.

I know there are so much money available to be shared among Social media platforms and some media. The fact remains that they can only deceive themselves but they cannot deceive people at Joints drinking within that viscinity and those around. They released propaganda early in the morning to wakeup the consciousness of lazy jobless protesters and social media miscreant who would not think that such event can never happen at that time

Nigerian youths need to understand that progress takes time. Tinubu is focused on long-term solutions, not just immediate fixes. They should engage in dialogue rather than protests. After all, we all want a better Nigeria, so let’s support Jagaban in his vision for our future!
The baba have nothing to offer abeg all his policies so far is just trial and error it clearly shows he didn't even came prepared.

If there’s one thing anyone can deduce from this worthless mention it means that the military’s media control failed. Wasn’t an ait workers leg broken while being prevented from coverage? Please believe what you want but don’t misquote me. You are not being different from those on propaganda. I told you about coordination and if Mr. President have not goofed high on his national address I bet the protest could have been resolved. Wait until coordination is broken. Disinformation and misinformation is different from coordination. I don’t know why this is hard to understand. The theme of the protest is still the same. This is possible Becuase everything is happening in agreement.

Bro, you could have made your own comment without editing mine.
But to address the point you said I got wrong.
The armed state sponsored thugs substantially prevented the ibos from voting. I acknowledge the fearless nature of the ibo, but there is little you can do against state backed ethnic militias. It is a sad fact. Your analysis of the economic angle is correct too... So added to that is what is playing out nicely for the ibo
