success1smyn:If Amusan is not injured & is on fine form, that's Nigeria's surest medal bet. The times she has delivered this season are untouchable... if she even pushes a lil bit more, you can even expect an olympic record. I am not convinced Favor Ofili can beat 1. Gabby Thomas USA 2. The combo of Dina Asher Smith & Daryll Neita UK Or the sparkling form of 3. Julien Alfred Naaaah mheeeen She might even place last if care is not taken, because Favors best time comes nowhere close to the season times this year of the above listed |

Hezmatosky:Yorubas will take offense when you talk rubbish towards their own. Everyone would. See your brother asking why Amusan took drugs in the first instance. The repeated accusations make it clear that he has another motive. Amusan was never accused of drug abuse, never failed any drug test. She only missed a session for a drug test and was about to be suspended for that alone. So for a fellow Nigeria to now accuse her of taking drugs when she never did says a lot. Best of luck to Favour Ofili and Tobi Amusan though. |

Congratulations to our Favour Ofili. Go all the way African princess! Another thread that shows that Nairaland moderators are sleeping on the job. Even if it's a 100% volunteer obligation as I presume, we can still do a better job than this, knowing fully well what Nairaland is now known for. If you move a thread to the front page as a moderator, decency and professionalism dictates that you should at least keep an eye on it. We know this is not your fault considering the population of frustrated and poorly brought up youths in our system, but a little bit of commitment goes a long way. |
So, because "no drugs works for you", you now consume banned substances. How do you guys sleep sef?
How do you reason, really? Was Amusan actually found guilty of drugs involvement? She didn't even test positive to any bad substance. She only missed a test session. Stop displaying your stupidity on air. |

Sadly it is poor upbringing, no good religion foundation, illiteracy, bad government (policies and corruption) which ultimately leads to hardship suddenly you start to see your fellow human being as your problem creolehunt: |

yommen:Yes, top athletes complain a lot. John Jones, UFC champion, recently fought testing because they showed up and he could not urinate, so they asked for a blood sample instead. Most of them don't like blood but prefer urine. A police report obtained by ABQ Raw said that an agent for the UFC's anti-doping partners at Drug Free Sport went to Jones' home in Albuquerque in an attempt to collect a random sample. The report said Jones "appeared agitated" when he was unable to provide a urine sample and was, instead, offered the opportunity to submit a blood sample. |
