Have you seen the vast differences between the subject banks in terms of the above mentioned variables? That is an indication that this is a merger of sudden and urgent necessity. Most likely, a survival advised process from CBN.

You don't speak to people with emotions. Learn to be claiming down and widen your ideas.

How do you think one of the most sophisticated, fast pacing, and classy banks in Nigeria, will go and merge with a very slow growing, and one of the most technologically and infrastructure deficient banks. .

Pay a visit, and experience both banks and revert.

Trust that Providus Bank will fix this. I use the bank and they don't even have a branch in my location. They are very good and I'm sure they'll fix whatever issues Unity Bank is experiencing.

I have seen and heard good reviews about Providus Bank. I hope they will not disappoint especially with transfers (network issues)

You are correct! This is one of thing that has been happening. Small banks taking over big banks. Standard Trust Bank (STB) took over UBA. They have to maintain the name 'UBA' bc of it's ubiquitous branch network and to deceive people. Access bank took over Intercontinental bank. Titan trus bank took over Union bank. Now providus is taking over Union bank.

I work with one of the biggest fintech/MFB in Nigeria and I disbursed 6.9m to one of my merchant last month and I will still give more this month. Don't say what u don't know the success of banking is no longer about physical location.
