Didn't you read the lyrics to the song , gentleman mike sample it

Tortoise
Nnam Eze akpatam enyi ( my king I have brought the elephant)

Elephant
Nwa mbe isi na ikpata onye ( small tortoise who did you say you brought?)

Tortoise
Asim Ana ya chebe enyi dube enyi odikam SI na akpatam enyi (I said let the earth protect and guide the elephant did I say I brought the elephant?)
Tortoise
Okwe enyi ga abu isi oche ( is it not the elephant that will be the chairman?)

Tortoise
Enyi na aga ayi so gi na Azu (elephant continue moving we are behind you)
That's a song production not folklore song. Folklores usually have an accompanying song

The elephant in that story must be very stupid, dunce and an ignoramus
Like APC supporters?

This story narrates how small number of politicians are able to manipulate Nigerians to carry (vote and support) them to their place of achieving their life-long ambitions. Meanwhile, they leave their followers in acute hunger and deprivation.

It's time for Nigerians to wake up!!!

A folklore song usually accompanies the story and its drawn from the main theme of the story and is short, more like a chant
The production song on the other hand is a full song that tells a story in itself

Exactly
Af0nja:
Wrong, when the elephant asked the tortoise "who did you say you have brought? "

The tortoise replied " I said let the gods bless and keep the elephant, but it sounds like I said I have brought the elephant "
Re: The Story Of "Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo" By Mike Ejeagha by musicwriter(m):
Before I start the full story, here is the meaning of "Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo": it simply represents the sound of an elephant's footsteps.
I like the fact that the author stated that "Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo" represents the matching of the elephant. But that's because he/she is trying to make sense of it in English.

"Gwo" in Igbo is the matching of something big. It could be a big man, animal or anything. That heavy match is called "gwo" or "gwom" in Igbo. So, it's not a sound! It's an Igbo word! Just like "knock, knock, knock" in English but the word is "knock"

The closest you can get in English is "match, match, match" but which doesn't make the same sense as "gwo" to an Igbo man or woman.

It's not every African word that has meaning in English - vice versa.

My fellow Africans, be warned that the English language or French or any other European language doesn't allow us to enjoy first-hand experience with meaning, and if we keep speaking it, what would happen is that we will eventually become white people right here in Africa.

Enyi na aga ayi so gi na Azu , is the song that accompies the story, the song comes up the moment the tortoise climbs to ride the elephant to the kings palace , so what song are you talking about again?

In animal story telling

Tortise is always wise and Elephant is always foolish.

There is a similar story of how Tortoise deceived Elephant that he would be crown a King in the palace not knowing that a dug pit covered with mat awaits him in the palace

Nice summary! I just wish to point out few things. First, Eze called his family (including his wife, Adaeze and her siblings) and not the cabinet as you narrated and the story depicts an Animal kingdom not kingdom of men..you did well!!
