So the PDP in Edo State doesn't have a sense of entitlement right now? Indeed, we fully know what we are doing.

Anyone thinking rationally understood that a vote for Peter Obi was, in effect, a vote for Tinubu because Obi had no realistic path to victory. By dividing the PDP's vote, you effectively paved the way for Tinubu's easy win. Tinubu’s greatest hope before last year’s election was that Obi wouldn't step down because he knew that in a direct contest with Atiku, he’d be handed the greatest defeat of his life.
Same Obi said to be splitting votes today, joined forces with the serial loser and couldnt defeat an ordinary buhari not to talk of tinubu....Make una rest for this yarns,it is becoming stale..

Have some shame. Was APC in charge in 2006?

What stops you from doing comparison with APC years.
grin

....does it matter?! Ok! Let's pick military era then. 1998.

Eheeeen.. Good

He said, “Also, more than N570 billion has been released to the 36 states to expand livelihood support to their citizens, while 600,000 nano-businesses have benefitted from our nano-grants. An additional 400,000 more nano-businesses are expected to benefit.”

“Furthermore, 75,000 beneficiaries have been processed to receive our N1 million Micro and Small Business single-digit interest loans, starting this month. We have also built 10 MSME hubs within the past year, created 240,000 jobs through them and 5 more hubs are in progress which will be ready by October this year.”

But below is Seyi saying its not from tinubu and it's a grant. Or did tinubu forget to specify this money is a grant?
grin

.....you believe what Seyi said. I believe what Federal Government said. QED.

Why didn't atiku / Obi defeat buhari?
Abi nor be winning ticket be that?

The earlier you realise that atiku is the weak point here, the better for everyone.

There's no politician in this country that can do what Obi did.
That renders all your point mute.
If 6+ million people are voting for you without the required structure then you are on a different level to the rest.

What is ATIKU without PDP?
Even tinubu still has levels without apc compared to atiku.
Nor dey cap careless

I'd rather vote for an 80-year old with a chance of winning than vote for a 66-year old bottler who has no chance in hell of winning.

Making terrible choices every 4 years and wailing in-between is no way to live.

Who did you vote for in 2019?

-Lord
Well that's ur choice and that's fine.

As for me, I will rather not vote than vote another disaster waiting to happen.

Of all the people I will never thumbprint for in any election, Atiku tops the list.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 3:42pm On Aug 09, 2024
LordAdam16:
Obi validated the steal.
With Obi in the contest, it is believable that Tinubu eked out a slim win because the opposition spit votes.

Free and fair elections in this country are a rarity.
And everyone and their grandmother knew Obi had nothing to attenuate Tinubu's political structure.

If there was a rerun between Tinubu and Atiku, who would win?

-Lord
There was no steal the contestatnts just refused to use their head

I will categorize the votes as pro APC votes and anti APC votes

Pro APC votes were 8.7M, Anti APC votes were 14.5M

Somehow the anti APC votes were fragmented into 3,
If the same contestants show up in 2027, the results will be the same, The more contestants the more the chances of APC winning

Its simple Maths

I will criticize whoever is the president and not doing the right thing. Simple.

Tinubu or Atiku will be their President in 2027.
In 2031, it'll be a Northerner.

By 2039, Obi will be 78.
I can bet that age would not be a problem then.
We all know what we are doing.

-Lord
In 2027, Atiku has the best chances of unseating Tinubu. 2027 is also his best and last chance to become president. This will only be if the other contestants fold and allow him to go 1v1 against Tinubu

By 2031 if Atiku is still alive he will be facing a fellow Northerner. Possibly younger in the ruling party. He will surely lose

When its Northerner vs Northerner the ruling party Northerner wins e.g Yar Adua vs Buhari 2007, Buhari vs Atiku 2019

If it's sharing money, they're all guilty, it's why I said we'd have to look beyond money sharing.

When PDP was in charge at the centre, they were sharing money for votes, but we were not in the sort of pits APC has put us (while still sharing money). Share the money politics is bad, but that's the base we're beginning from.
Baba u just dey fall hand with all these talks o.

One of the reasons the youth actively got involved in the 2023 election process and rallied behind Obi/LP was because they were tired of PDP and APC doing things the old way. They wanted a breath of fresh air and wanted enough of APC and PDP money wars.

The youth in different parts of the country voted for strangers whom they barely know under the flag of LP just to show middle finger to APC and PDP. Right on this thread I remembered some of us(You inclusive) cheered this. If I don't remember anything, I remember you wanted the Olumide Oworu guy to oust Desmond Elliot from Lagos State House of Assembly.

But here you are now saying we need to look beyond money and just pick one out of APC and PDP that we showed middle finger in 2023 cos of their money politics.

No be so. embarassed

Obi was on a joint ticket with that serial loser in 2019.

If he had stayed on the ticket, he'd currently be the VP. And in 2031, he will be the President.

It was a layup for him. And in the moment of truth, Obi snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I lost my political virginity after gej became president. I had spent years criticising Obj and then yardua in the politics threads. All of a sudden a sizeable contingent of guys who had been doing the same were suddenly making all sorts of excuses for gejs underperformamce. It was an eye opener. they were not actually concerned about good governance per se - their complaints were simply 'outside looking in'

Tldr - The flint1 does not give a fk about good governance, but about his preferrd candidates place in it. it is what it is.

Tinubu can still pull a rabbit out of the hat in 2027.
Everyone has a price and Nigeria's fiscal position is improving.

I am not invested in Atiku. I still think he shares some blame for the 2023 disaster.
He could have made sweetheart deals with Obi to drop out.
Give him some ministries. Publicly call him Nigeria's next President. Go on the charm offensive.

You cannot be working on an ambition for 20 years then allow a joker who had no national relevance to poison the well.
He did not do enough to mitigate the threat that eventually did him in.

Very funny humans.
If to say person listen to these guys, you won't have believed Obi can win the same number of states as atiku.
For all the backing of those guys, Obi went band for band.

Oya what does that tell you he will do with the support of PDP.

Remove atiku and tinubu from pdp and apc and let's see who is who between them😁

he also fked over wike who had carried the party for 8 years in the worst way possible. imho wikes actions in the election may have been more of a fk you to atiku than a shout out to tinubu - who did not need ph votes to win.

atikus story has always been one of allowing his overambition to fk him over. obj was president. obj left atiku in charger and was runing round chaisng investors. sit your arse down for 8 years. enjoy money. it was not enough and atiku had to run a palace coup because he could not wait for 8 years . after that it was a case of hop step and jump between parties
i actually blame pdp for admitting atiku and saraki back into the fold and immediately elevating them . a pair who hit pdpd with death blows in 2015.
