One thing you lots still fail to realise is that their will be voting apathy if that was the case....why're you not adding up atiku and obi votes and pitching it up against that of buhari in 2019 since your hindsight is 100 over 100....una see high voter turnout in 2023 and votes accrue to Obi,una eye begin tear...

sebi una talk say e no fit get 3million votes or win more than 5 states cheesy
Lmao.

They real thought that the numbers that voted for Obi will come out for Atiku?

Voting apathy will only affect Atiku.
Tinubu will be immune after Buhari's 8 years.

-Lord
2031 is the north's entitlement

2023 should have been given to Atiku on a platter over a southerner after buhari's 8years of disasterclass

LordAdam16:
Who would have won a rerun between Tinubu and Atiku in 2023?

Atiku got 11 million votes in 2019.
But "a lot of people that voted Obi" will not vote Atiku.

-Lord
Why do you assume that the voter apathy that affected the apc didn't also affect the pdp.

Why do you assume that Obi was not responsible for people to actually come out to vote for him because people were tired?

Why do you assume that a northerner will get more votes than a southerner after a northerner just finished 8yrs?

Please think

Tinubu can still pull a rabbit out of the hat in 2027.
Everyone has a price and Nigeria's fiscal position is improving.

I am not invested in Atiku. I still think he shares some blame for the 2023 disaster.
He could have made sweetheart deals with Obi to drop out.
Give him some ministries. Publicly call him Nigeria's next President. Go on the charm offensive.

You cannot be working on an ambition for 20 years then allow a joker who had no national relevance to poison the well.
He did not do enough to mitigate the threat that eventually did him in.

-Lord
Stop freebasing bro.

There is no way in hell Obis vote would have gone to atiku. Some of us voted for the first time beacuse of Obi. there would have been the usual voter aparthy mostly in the south if it was just Tinubu and Atiku.

Your dealer is mixing something different for you. Stop the cap and allow APC urchins to continue deceiving themselves with such laughable gospel

I lost my political virginity after gej became president. I had spent years criticising Obj and then yardua in the politics threads. All of a sudden a sizeable contingent of guys who had been doing the same were suddenly making all sorts of excuses for gejs underperformamce. It was an eye opener. they were not actually concerned about good governance per se - their complaints were simply 'outside looking in'

Tldr - The flint1 does not give a fk about good governance, but about his preferrd candidates place in it. it is what it is.
Just like many of the people including those who support him and those who criticize theflint

Good governance is just a convenient buzz word
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 4:26pm On Aug 09, 2024
Why is it we are saying if elections where done today, Atiku would clear tinubu in the north even more than 2023...why is there change?

Make we hear word abeg

Na real jonzing bro.

On this thread alone, I can count at least 7-8 people that would not have voted for Atiku if Obi was not contesting. On my whatsapp contact I have a quite a handful too.

It's always amusing the way lapse of time make people triviliaze things and start saying " A would not have happened .....blah blah blah...." months after an event.

There is no rabbit to pull out of any hat. The Northern disenchantment will continue and they will vote Atiku

In 2023, there was no deal Atiku could have given Obi because Obi believed that it was his own time too

Many people saw it that Obi was just playing the spoiler and truth be told, its in Tinubus interest to boost Obi even more so that he can divide those votes

he also fked over wike who had carried the party for 8 years in the worst way possible. imho wikes actions in the election may have been more of a fk you to atiku than a shout out to tinubu - who did not need ph votes to win.

atikus story has always been one of allowing his overambition to fk him over. obj was president. obj left atiku in charger and was runing round chaisng investors. sit your arse down for 8 years. enjoy money. it was not enough and atiku had to run a palace coup because he could not wait for 8 years . after that it was a case of hop step and jump between parties
i actually blame pdp for admitting atiku and saraki back into the fold and immediately elevating them . a pair who hit pdpd with death blows in 2015.
Atiku's only redemption is that he has never given the impression that he is a Fulani supremacist or Northern fundamentalist.
So after every misstep and unforced error, he still remains be the more liberal option with the pedigree and national acceptance. Because how many in the South will go to bat for Nasir "I paid killers" el-Rufai and Kwankwanso.

I will vote for him in 2027, but yeah, for the most part, Atiku has been his own worst enemy.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 4:36pm On Aug 09, 2024
But the same North that is responsible for Tinubu winning is rioting and protesting against the same tinubu.

If the people responsible for your victory are showing you the middle finger, what is the next possible solution?

You look towards the middle-belt and the south (SW, SS and SE). 2 out of those regions hate you. The NC feels betrayed because tinubu has overlooked them in appointments. If Seyi Makinde does pursue this rumoured presidential ambition, that means even your SW is in jeopardy.

So what is the plan?
INEC and violence?

Maybe that will work against an Obi who would rather follow the law than wipe up violence.

Will that work against a northerner? Especially with the South not supporting you? 😁

2027 is far but it's close for some.

I agree with you.

Tinubu got 230K votes in Rivers, even if we record 0 for Tinubu in Rivers and award it all to Obi or Atiku.
It wont affect the final standings

These guys don't think people would have rather voted tinubu also just to ensure a northerner doesn't win after a northerner just finished ruling.
When you tell them, they think the dislike for tinubu is stronger than the dislike of feeling cheated by a region

Baba u just dey fall hand with all these talks o.

One of the reasons the youth actively got involved in the 2023 election process and rallied behind Obi/LP was because they were tired of PDP and APC doing things the old way. They wanted a breath of fresh air and wanted enough of APC and PDP money wars.

The youth in different parts of the country voted for strangers whom they barely know under the flag of LP just to show middle finger to APC and PDP. Right on this thread I remembered some of us(You inclusive) cheered this. If I don't remember anything, I remember you wanted the Olumide Oworu guy to oust Desmond Elliot from Lagos State House of Assembly.

But here you are now saying we need to look beyond money and just pick one out of APC and PDP that we showed middle finger in 2023 cos of their money politics.

No be so. embarassed
I douse my idealism in pragmatism...what will I gain if I support a candidate I know stands no chance of winning and inadvertently allow the worst of the lot in? Peter Obi stood a chance, and that was one of the reasons I supported him.

Maybe if the PDP and APC candidates running were plus and minus of themselves, I'd have declined supporting any or support based on idealism, but in the Edo election, that's not the case...nuance matters.

Yes, Tinubu would have won without Rivers; but the fact that he lost Rivers but it was rigged for him is exhibit A that the election was marred with irregularities.

If a state he did not need can be rigged, then what happened in states he had to win.

We have not left our homes since 1993 when Atiku has been contesting for president and he has always lost like the serial loser he is .

2027 is almost here, he should contest as usual ; I’m sure those marabouts that told him one day he will become the president will be happy to chop his money as usual. 😏

No...are you saying Olumide Akpata can win 6 of the 18 LGAs in Edo State?

Before the elections, I predicted states I thought Peter Obi would win, and though it fell short, it wasn't that far off...maybe Olumide Akpata would win 1 LGA, but that's as much as it'd be. He'd make a strong showing overall, but he won't win more than 1 LGA.
