So despite Apc and tinubu's 12yrs of disaster, you still need some people not exercising their rights to vote before your guy with all the structures and experiences can win an election....

Shame suppose dey catch una, this cheap gaslighting wee not work
A veteran that has been contesting election since 1993 needs the support base of Obi to vote for him before he can become president in 2023.

The question u should be asking is: Why has he not been winning all those years?

Our parents saw him on the ballot for years and have always avoided him like a leper . Does that not suggest the man himself is the problem ? Must we eat the poison our parents refused to eat ?

Some people swore Obi wouldn't win even Anambra

Some said Atiku made him popular.

Make Atiku go by himself. He can do this.

It doesn't matter how long, Buhari was also contesting and losing until he aligned with ACN

Without the alliance of Buhari with ACN he will still be contesting and losing like Atiku

I’m not in the mood for lengthy back and forth this afternoon. I will only answer once with an example of the presidential election result in Lagos.

Obi won in Lagos with Atiku on the ballot box . APC has always won Lagos and the bulk of their votes usually come from their political base chief of which is Alimosho.

Guess what ? Obi did not only win in Lagos, but won in the heart of political power in Lagos; Alimosho LGA .

There’s no way u will tell me Atiku would’ve gotten those Obi votes either in Lagos in General or alimosho .There’s no historical data that suggests Atiku or PDP can win in both aforementioned constituencies . I know this because I’ve once lived in Alimosho and I know the political terrain quite well.
Nor forget to respond to this

Besides Lagos which is the president's home state, which other state that Obi won would you be confident that APC will win in an Atiku vs Tinubu head to head

A failure is a failure until he succeeds.

As of today Atiku Abubakar is a serial failure and loser .

When he finally wins (maybe at age 84 when he’s being assisted around like Paul Biya), we will acknowledge him

One of my key prayer points after 25 Feb 2023 was to not be in the country by the time the next general elections rolled around.

Don't worry, you don't have to worry about me.

Fix your PDP first.

You leave G5, leave Wike, leave INEC, come dey tell us say na Obi make Atiku lose

Sorry sir, worry about yourself

Are u not the one that said northern governors rallied behind Tinubu because he they believe it was the south’s turn and it will come back to the north in 8 years time?

All things being equal and relying on that ur logic , Tinubu would’ve done exceedingly well in those northern states and the South(bar Southeast)

Atiku/Okowa vs Tinubu/Shettima in 2023, Atiku would have probably won, but there's no guarantees on that. There are several things that'd have worked against his ticket...low voter turnout, opposition to North-North continuity, Atiku's past, Okowa's less than stellar time as governor, INEC and Judiciary.

Atiku wasn't going to run with Peter Obi in 2023, the PDP governors wanted one of them running with Atiku as guarantee for their support.

Anybody saying Peter Obi's votes would have wholly transferred to Atiku is deceiving themselves...there's ways APC could have spun that thing and made it a North vs South election and they'd get the votes needed down South and the votes they were entitled to up North courtesy their infrastructure up North.
The winning ticket was Atiku/Wike.

Atiku was too foolish to see it.

PDP even said the reason they failed in 2019 was because Atiku chose Obi as running mate. grin

It was clear to the blind he was never going to get the presidential ticket nor the vice.

That's Northern APC governors who believed it was South turn and Who helped him get the ticket against Buharis scheming of Lawan

Despite the governors support Tinubu only won 3 of 13 NE + NW states

Wike's PA has arrived.

Even if Atiku and 50 Wike's join together as long as Peter obi is also in the race they'll lose.

This is why I said I don’t want to do lengthy back and forth because I know u will keep spinning and spinning till one is tired.

Attached is an analysis sheet of the 2023 election results .

Tinubu won 41% of the votes in the NW to Atiku’s 33%. Similarly in the NC, Tinubu won 41% to Atiku’s 33.9%. Atiku only bested Tinubu in the NE.

In fact, Tinubu got 30% ! Yes u read right, he got 30% of all his votes from the North West. That simply unalive the permutations that Northerners would’ve voted for Atiku instead of Obi.

Tinubu scored 517k votes in Kano and 571k votes in Lagos states. Guess what Atiku scored in both states ? 131k in Kano and 75k in Lagos.

There’s a reason I said all things being equal while responding to u earlier . Without Obi’s votes Atiku would still have lost with all the melee he has with the G5 governors and every other factor being constant .

Atiku dey gba , una know but una choose to praise-sing am today. Issorait

Nah, at the time he left, Obi as VP was not an option. Remember a committee was set up to deliberate Atikus vice. These were the names on that list. They all had one thing in common.

Reading this story I feel the “egbon” is more foooolish than the lady who attended the interview with multiple piercing , leg chain and visible panty line.

I mean does it even make any sense like a BBN contestant to attend interview for the role of PA to the CEO of an oil company ?

The fooolish Egbon said he’s boiling over a potential employer telling the lady she lacks business dressing etiquette . 🤦‍♂️

As in…. Initially I thought the poster was being sarcastic with his tweet till I read where he said he’s boiling over .

Person sabotage herself and instead of the Egbon to correct her he’s blaming the CEO for choosing not to employee an adult who don’t appearance and dressing matters a lot in business . Imagine the kind of distraction such lady will be for the CEO’s business and partners

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

PRESIDENT TINUBU RECEIVES PATRIOTS GROUP, SAYS STRENGTHENING NIGERIA'S ECONOMY A TOPMOST PRIORITY BUT REQUEST FOR NEW CONSTITUTION WILL BE REVIEWED

President Bola Tinubu on Friday in Abuja received The Patriots, a group of eminent Nigerians, and emphasized that retooling the economy for sustainable growth and development is a major priority of his administration.

The President also assured the group that their request for the convening of a national constituent assembly with the mandate to draft a new constitution will be reviewed.

President Tinubu made the declaration when he received members of the group led by Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Commonwealth Secretary-General, at the State House on Friday.

Chief Anyaoku, speaking on behalf of The Patriots, appealed to the President to send an executive bill to the National Assembly, proposing two measures:

''The convening of a national constituent assembly with the mandate to produce a draft people's democratic constitution. The constituent assembly should be of directly elected individuals, on a non-political basis, from the 36 states of the federation, possibly three individuals per state, and one from the FCT.

''They should be assisted by seven constitutional lawyers, one drawn from each of the six geo-political zones and the FCT. The deliberations of the constituent assembly should take into full account the 1960/63 constitutions, as well as the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference and indeed of the various national conferences that considered the Nigerian constitutions.''

Chief Anyaoku also said the Patriots requested legislating for a national plebiscite to which the draft constitution emerging from the constituent assembly should be subjected.

''The draft constitution, produced by the constituent assembly, should be put to a national referendum and if approved, should then be signed by the President as the genuine Nigerian people’s constitution,'' he said.

Responding to these requests, the President expressed his respect for The Patriots and their contributions to national discourse.

''I have listened to you carefully, and this is not a group that I can ignore. This is a group of patriots reflecting the heart and aspirations of society. I thank all of you for being here.

''I have faced the challenge of this democracy that I inherited from your struggles. I must recognise the fact that these challenges are most required for good governance.

''We have no other choice, and I believe also that it is most difficult to manage the twist and turns of democratic governance.

''I want to assure all of you that as I listened to your two major requests on the path to referendum and that should lead to constitutional measures that will fit our diversity and governance so that we avoid conflicts and break-ups.

''I believe in the unity of this country and I want to assure you that whatever is necessary to put happiness and good governance in the hands of all Nigerians is what I would do,'' the President said.

President Tinubu also noted that the clamour for constitutional reforms is a longstanding issue in national discourse.

He acknowledged the examples presented by the Patriots on pluralistic countries, such as Canada and India, which have maintained unity by addressing their diversity through their constitutions.

''The avoidance of chaos is necessary to build this country and move its aspirations forward for the benefit of all of us.

''I am currently preoccupied with economic reform. That is my first priority. Once this is in place, as soon as possible, I will look at other options, including constitutional review as recommended by you and other options,'' the President said.

President Tinubu also used the occasion to pay glowing tribute to the founding chairman of The Patriots, Chief Rotimi Williams, SAN, and Professor Ben Nwabueze, who succeeded him.
