pandoragirigory:Defeat them with the magic wand Sanwo Olu said he used to make Lagos economy the 5th, as per his 1999 master plan? Do you have any clue why he has failed to use this magic to defeat inflation, unemployment, insecurity etc? Any clue at all ![]() Àkàrà de ẹnu akayin ó di ègún. |

Goalty01:Oga, nothing is hijacked. If Osinbajo & tinubu contest for an election in Yoruba land, in a level playground, free & fair, without rigging & vote buying, you know very well that Osinbajo will defeat tinubu hands down. Even in Lagos, you guys claimed he built, tinubu lost to PO of Labour Party, from another tribe, in the 2023 presidential election. |

The 1999 "constitution" is illegal and same goes to the 2014 national conference. If I remember correctly, the conference was about creating more states, with southeast which is less than the size Oyo states and already have 5 states getting additional 2 or 3 states while Yorubaland is getting just 1. Also, there was nothing in the national conference for Yoruba, so I don't know why it should be taken into consideration at all. I think the recommendation from the 2014 national conference should be scrapped too alongside the 1999 constitution. I agree with him though that the 1963 constitution is what the new one should be built on with a few changes like the name of the queen removed. Ebigwei007: |

You can imagine how detached these empty-headed elites are from the Nigerian reality. They're idle and looking to feel important. Many of them are the reasons Nigeria is now a proper failed state. What a shame |

Does he even realise the dead capital ensued in our current geopolitical formation? Do you know how much economic value you'd unlock from this unwholesome contraption? |

Those who could read between the lines know that Mr President is more focused at the moment at revamping Nigeria's ailing economy and improving the general well-being of its citizens than the clamour for a constitutional review. Although not unmindful of the need to have a constitutional review, having one at the moment when the economy is comatosed, appears diversionary. First things first! If the economy begins to take proper shape, inflation drastically reduced and peace and security relatively guaranteed, I can bet it that the issue of having a constitutional review would take a back seat. Let's give Mr President a chance! @hotseat |

Without a new structure and most likely a new constitution, the economic prosperity shall remain elusive. |

Without a constitutional review all these will not happen as any president will come and fail and even be worse off than his predecessor. hotseat: |

Unfortunately the dependent regions which is the majority will not allow the constitution review to fly. They will kill it even in the constitution review. We all know that one of the major problem we have as a state is the constitution. Not until we understand that regional govt will help grow this country, stamp out security issues, the best for us. Fortunately all regions are heavily blessed but governor's prefer the Abuja free lunch rather than putting what their states have to use. Kudos to Niger state governor for his agriculture stride. |

I think economy is more important now than constitution. If all dust settles then constitution can be place on the table for review. |

In ss much as it's essential to put the country on a strong and stable platform for growth and progress, we must also try not to lose touch with the proposition of our today's realities by encouraging and implementing regional system of government with total devolution of power and fiscal control from the central to the states. Secondly, we must also bear in mind that the ethnicity vigorously fighting for this change are the same one whose forebears are exactly the group that destroyed it back in the days. Let this be on record. |

Oh u know now that returning anthem to the old one is irrelevant, unnecessary increase in electricity tariff totally uncalled for. Wisdom Should tell Tinubu, Nigeria just survived 8 solid years hardship from Buhari and be deliberate on how to ease our pains when he emerged presidency. This shows he is surrounded by bad advisers "Subsidy is gone" the careless & reckless statement messed up his administration. |
