Bode George should focus on his party's internal issues instead of trying to school Tinubu. The man has been clear about his plans. Transparency is key, and Tinubu is committed to that. The days of hiding behind subsidies are over; it's time for real solutions. Let’s see how PDP can manage the economy before giving advice.

Bode George is venturing into impossibility.

How can he expect a notorious narcotics drug trafficker engaging in criminal state capture to tell Nigerians the truth about fuel subsidy?

Bode George should relax and let Tinubu handle things. The president is working hard to stabilize the economy, and transparency will come in due time. Nigerians are smart enough to understand that complexities exist in governance. Instead of throwing shade, let’s support the efforts!

Allegedly, we have oil and a refinery here but Tinubu exports the raw material to his other companies abroad (Malta, eg) at a cheap price, refine and resell at a top price back to Nigeria...that is why they are against Dangote because it's bad business for them.

And he keeps paying himself subsidy.

Tinubu owns Agip and Oando, and also the refinery in Malta...and these are the companies doing the tro and fro of our oil in Nigeria.

If not for greed, what is the greedy old man to do with all the whole money he keeps on accumulating?!

Is he there now?

He said he will be looking from afar! Is he now?

The distinction between leader and boss is clear the leader clears the path and facilitates things while the boss always wants to be in control and plays alone

Without subsidy PMS would be sold between 1,700 - 2,200 per litre. Diesel is sold at 1,200 - 1,500 Without subsidy. How come PMS is sold at lower price @ 568 - 620 major marketers, and they claimed subsidy is gone - dey play.
Do you know the real truth?

What's so difficult for these wicked leaders to repair and fix all our refineries so that there won't be anything like importation of fuel again. Why are Nigeria leaders this bad and wicked. They know the right thing to do but won't do it due to corruption.

There you go!!!, turning such a crucial issue that has somersaulted the economy of the country into a partisan political rhetoric.
You guys will defend THE DEVIL as long as he is from your TRIBE and claim your RELIGION.(even as the jury is still out on the veracity of both claims).

You guys should pity yourselves (even if not us), and don't distract REAL PATRIOTS who are asking the MAIN QUESTIONS that will turn this country around for good.

Why the secrecy in government. Even the IMF and the country's top exerts have made the same claim
Those who ascended power lying boxed themselves to tight corner. It is difficult to campaigned and gained power by saying there is no subsidy and then you turn around claiming subsidy needs to be removed. Which subsidy? The one Buhari, Tinubu, El-Rufai,Oshiomole and their apc cohorts jeered Jonathan on at Ojota years back and lied to people didn't exist to gain popularity?
These apc guys put Nigeria in a mess. This subsidy could have been better dealt with under Jonathan. We had a prospering economy then, the country was producing over 2.1m barrels of oil per day, oil was selling for over 100dollars a barrel.
I remember Okonjo Eweala begging that that was the best time to remove subsidy clamouring for sovereign wealth fund to save for raining days. Those idiots antagonised everything, inherited the economy and squandered everything they met and borrowed the country to red.
The economy left by Buhari is actually a big mess. Nigerians failing to accept this are actually living in a fool's paradise.

Obviously there are market forces influencing the turn of events in the oil market, and CORRUPTION is at the heart of the matter.

However, Nigeria as an oil producing country shouldn't be faced with this kind of BS if our leaders are intelligent and serious. Iran sells the cheapest gasoline in the world, and price has been stable for 29 years @ $0.029 which is about N46.98 (FX). The beauty of it is that Iranians have the purchasing power.

There's no point paying attention to the likes of Bode George and BAT, they're all birds of the same feathers - they're thieves parading as politicians! cool

it very true that APC always swapped it's supporters brain with zombies because how can a normal human being will even think of waving down a critical question as this?

Is it too much to ask your drug lord to tell Nigerians what is happening in our oil sector? undecided

When Bode George said "I will relocate to Ghana or Benin Republic if Tinubu becomes president" he didn't mean that he'll literally do that.

But he was speaking the way we talk in our native language. We do say all the time that "if so so and so thing happens, I'll die" (replace the saying in quote with whatever vow you want). It's just a saying to relate the fact that you find something incredible, unbelievable, impossible, etc.

A similar example is when Wole Soyinka said "if Donald Trump wins the election, I'll tear my US passport". He later explained that he wasn't speaking literally even as he couldn't explain the metaphysics of words, so people thought he was lying. I have no pity for him though, because he's one of the major actors that cemented English as our language in Africa - a language that has distorted our brain's way of generating meaning organically.

In the other thread, an Igbo even explained that "gwo, gwo, gwo" is just a sound. But "gwo" or "gwom" is an Igbo word meaning heavy matching. He doesn't know because he's trying to make sense of it in English, he doesn't realize that not all African words have English meaning-vice versa.

The English language has ended up becoming a jamming frequency distorting our perception of reality as Africans.

My fellow Africans, be warned that the English language or French or any other European language doesn't allow us to enjoy first-hand experience with meaning, and if we keep speaking it, what would happen is that we will eventually become white people right here in Africa.

PDP is dead,a long time ago,for been in Power, for 16- good years, without construction of a single Infrastructures in Nigeria.
-Why should there be a Party, who Budgets for Federal and States- for Decades and All the Money were swallowed and yet, some Nigerians and some Regions - were busy Collecting and Celebrating -Corruption like Others, year in,year out?
-So in all these 16-years,those Money were shared and Chief Bode George is here still talking, when he too was part of the Problems,:
-for if there were good - Roads,
-good- Health Care Delivery,
-Monumental Industrial Development all over Nigeria,
-Excellent Educational Institutions, -------Robust -24/7-Power Sector;
-Employment for the Youths,
-Export Grown Economy - to generate FOREX,
-Functional Refineries - all these years, would Nigerian Youths be thinking of JAPA,to Another Country?
Thunder and Fire 🔥 of God will fall on these Past and some Present Leaders, who have been Feeding- Fat on the Nigeria-Resources,only to make Nigerians Masses and the Youths,to be Slaves- labouring in their Country, when they supposed to be Kings.
•These crooked have looted so much and Carried the Humongous Money- in Dollars to Dubai, Europe, America etc.
Very Shameful and Disgusting- this is the reality of Nigerian State.
