It was called “impromptu”, meaning that some of the candidates were not prepared. While not holding brief for the APC candidates and those others who missed it, I think the organizers did not do well.

However, it is on record that Tinubu refused to participate in the Presidential debate, not allowing citizens to critically examine his capacity to lead the nation. The rest is what we see today with the policy somersaults and Presidential aides contradicting each other. Hopefully Edo state will not have such an experience as Obaseki has advanced the state economically.

Ighodalo irrespective of his inability to speak Ishan language, appears like the best candidate to lead Edo state to the next level of growth.

OP is not objective and obviously has a bias for Ighodalo..

1. The way the story is presented with heavy bias and subjectivity in Ighodalo's favour
2. You clearly wrote that the debate meeting was impromptu yet to blame APC's candidate for not showing up (why organise a debate for Edo elections in Lagos by the way)
3. Why say that Akpata "agreed" with Ighodalo's policy programmes Someone objective would have said "both candidates shared the same views on a number of issues"

Asen Ighodalo has a stellar CV. He seems to appear to be the best man fornthe job.
