The minister of sports should be sacked. After he has been fired, the ministry of sports should be probed and investigated for fraud and recklessness! |

How can they win something? When one yeye man in the ministry of sports could not even know the registration center for our athletes . How can you take one of your best athletes to the competition without registration and you expect to win a medal? Very unserious set of leaders. Secondly, how can they win medals when the officials in sport ministry choose to politicize sports? For instance,in my area which is Niger Delta region,we were/are born inside water sef, everything about swimming, leave it for us.But some yeye tribalistic officials will leave a Niger Deltan to go and carry a Hausa/Fulani person from desert for swimming and canoe paddling competition in Olympic and you expect to win a medal? Or you pick someone in a Niger Delta for hose riding competition instead of Fulani. Politics, tribalism, religious affiliation and bribery and corruption won't allow us win any meda even in future l if we continue like this. . |

Even Botswana- a nation not up to the population of the smallest LGA in my village won medals. Nigeria is a colossal embarrassment honestly. |

Omockery said we were unable to win a medal because of the nationwide protest!😂😂 Same clown that some agbadorians are sheepishly following like zombies! He forgot that Kenyan won gold in 800m despite having a violent nationwide protest! Well I don't blame Reno....I blame the fuuls who hail him when he talks nonsense! Even Tobi Amusun whom I had very high hopes of medals crashed out! |

Softmirror:Reno disciple....answer these questions... Did the violent protest in Kenya stop them from winning gold at the Olympics? Did the war stop Ukraine from being 18th on the medals table? Excuses Fc |

Caskdoe:How many solutions have been implemented by the past and present administration? Even if u give solutions now,who will listen and implement? A country that is going for an Olympics tournament where the government officials are thrice the number of the participants! |

GreatOchuks:Will you keep quiet with this stale and regurgitated narrative? We are talking about our dismal performance at the just concluded Olympics and you are still crying over an Obi whom ur disjointed PDP party mocked and boasted that he will not even win in his own polling unit! Currently,ur useless party is been controlled by an acting chairman that is subservient to both FCT minister wike and Tinubu but Obi is ur main problem! Trash! |

Ur expression is inconsequential oga. Expressing ur displeasure as who? In the bit to stay relevant,u are just making it look irritating. When will u express ur displeasure about Monday sit at home in ur region? Don't u know it has negative effect on the productivity of the state concerned! If I was the account general ,I would effect no work no pay for the sit at home days. Extend your weekend and have ur salary deducted. What about killings by the ESN? Ur hypocrisy stinks! U have upgraded from being a reactor to an expressor |

EKONGKING:They have a lot to think but still think of expended such huge amount on a jamboree but came home with nothing. Meaning they only think about spending money but not winning or bringing any glory to the country. Why is thinking deeply so difficult for you guys. Continue in the path that lead to no where. |

blabulu2000:Obi is a jobless man so say a man that cannot afford a hundred thousand naira in his own account but telling a man controlling billions and a conglomeration of businesses as a jobless man. In this clime nothing we no go hear from political neophytes that have sold their IQ to supporting politicians. You think N12 billion of our common wealth is a joke that must just go down the drain like that without a single glory to it, in a country grappling with development of her economy. |

jaksmillioniar:This cry is too much for you. Please cry less, Peter Obi is talking about governance but you're still dwelling on election that has been done and dusted and the winner is turning the citizens to beggars in their own country. I think that should be your concern and not the person that is concern with the wealth and the prosperity of the country. Or you think N12 billion is a moimoi that just went through the drain like that without a single glory to show for it? |

It shouldn't surprise anybody who knows what obtains in the country because sports administration, like all other segments of Nigeria, is peopled by the same kinds of personalities that place mediocrity over competence. |

Softmirror:This is a baseless and senseless argument! The Olympics were not held in Nigeria but France! The protests were not held in France but in Nigeria! Whether the protests in Kenya was held before or during the Olympics was of no consequence and had no effect on their overall performance! Even if there was no protest,we will still have a dismal performance like the last one! So did the protest influence our athletics federation to omit Ofili's name from the 100m hurdle? Did the protest hinder our sports minister from not providing a bicycle for our cyclist who had to borrow that of a prepared nation like Germany? Why did you omit Ukrainian athletes whose nation is currently at war with Russia? Why didn't the war trauma affect their performance at the Olympics? The contingents to the Olympics failed woefully because once again we failed to plan but expected miracles and lampooned on those saying the truth by referring to them as haters of Nigeria! The problem with your likes is that you make too many excuses for your leaders hence they hardly perform! |

gigabyte13:You see the mindset of an average black man, no wonder the white supremacists see blacks as nothing and monkey. This mindset of seeing black as evil, you must heal yourself from that mess. Black is a colour, just as white or red. Oh! you want him to comment on the supreme court Judgement on LGA autonomy so that you can condemn him because I know he will speak the truth. Yes, the judgement very laudable but it falls short of truth in the letter of the constitution, because there is no where in the constitution that says allocation to LGA should be sent to their account directly, if not joint account between state and local government as stated in the constitution. Nigeria is a constitutional country and not a banana Republic where supreme court make law. The legislature is expected to make law while judiciary interpret same but lately we have seen supreme court of our land making laws in their judgements. They go outside the constitution and fabricate new guidelines, that national will now be struggling to add to the constitution. In two instances now, the supreme court had gone beyond the constitution to give judgement on what is not written in the constitution and some people are rejoicing over it and clapping for them, forgetting that they are digging their grave for the future. The judgement is good but fell short of the rule of law. Now they are clamouring that the clause should be included in the constitution to reflect the judgement. Why going through the back door to effect judgement? |

Softmirror:Me? Happy? I feel gutted! I feel ashamed! I know we have the talents! I know we can be far better than our dismal back to back performance at the Olympics! But every Olympics we keep making the same error due to organisational and incompetent problems! Putting square pegs in round holes! People who should excel in other sectors are drafted into sports just for electoral settlement! You keep making the same excuse for these incompetent leaders who will make the same error in 4 years and you will still have another truck load of excuses to make for them! Well I just checked your moniker and I wasn't surprised that you are an apc minion! I just wasted my time trying to reason with a paid apc member.... smh! |

maestroferddi:They are leaving the substance and chasing shadows. You see the way many of them left the issue of corruption in sports and start attacking the messenger and they want the country to grow with such mentality. How would a country of over 200m people go for such even and came home with nothing after expending N12 billion of our patrimony, it's unhearable but some of them still playing their normal politics on critical issue like that. One thing many of them forgot is, this thing Obi always complain about doesn't affect him directly but only affect those living average life. They also think everything is all about prayer, forgetting that prayer without action is dead. You pray but seat idle without corresponding action is praying amiss. They should continue praying till tomorrow without doing the right thing and think there will be development. |

emkz:You see the mindset of Baterian, they are talking of governance, you're still fixated in an election that has been won and lost. O ga o. This is why governance has been relegated to the ground. Even those elected are still fixated on the election after over a year that the election has been concluded. How would the nation progress when the average mindset of those elected and their supporters still fixed on the election after a year with no tangible dividend of democracy. I thought the loser should be the one still talking about election but it is the winner still talking about it. This shows guilty conscience we are talking about that the election was manipulated. |
