Your Honda DC uses drive by wire throttle system. I wonder what magic they want to do to increase the RPM.
Is yours a V6?
That code won't cause the vibration, but MIGHT affect the RPM and fuel economy.
Please can you throw more light on RPM and fuel economy in Honda Accord 2004 model.
Mine is a guzzler of fuel and the RPM is always above 1000 to move it.

Please how do I reduce the level of fuel consumed as its even more than a V6 consumption comparatively.

better sell off that ur car. My former eod 2004 model showed me shege in fuel consumption also.
I do believe every problem has a solution when the right thing is applied you surely get positive results.

Selling off the car is shifting the problem to someone else, lets hear from knowledgeable expert in this area what best to do to get it back to default setting.

Thanks!

Have you scanned the car to know if your oxygen sensors are bad? Start by scanning the car to know what fault codes it has ..

You'll need scan code to know what's wrong.

It can be fixed if you eventually find a competent mechanic who comes up with the right diagnosis.
I know of a very clean fx 35 with crazy fuel consumption, this one drinks fuel, doesn't burn it, something like 1.5mpg, it has been long parked at mechanic village, every technician there pretend not to see the car rusting away, some have concluded the issue is beyond science (metaphysical) because the owner actually took possession of the car from a debtor of his 😂
My point being, a good mechanic will find out the problem and profer a solution, the ones throwing parts are often the kind who eat deep into the owner's pockets and when they're out of ideas they stop answering the owner's calls 🤣.
God bless you for being a decent human being, to know that selling what will not give the buyer peace is wickedness, is surely commendable, it is okay to sell if the buyer is aware of this issue, your problem can be fixed, maybe not much help comes from remote diagnosis, but find a good scanner (not these 5k ROYGBIV scanners) and post the codes, good luck .

Replace your throttle body. It's hard to get a good one preferably let them take it off and engine right in front of you.

Good evening House.... tokunbo 2008 accord 4 plugs steering rack available for sale. Pls dm if interested....
Good morning house, don't buy anything from this guy. He is very salty, and profane, and loves to call people unprintable names, even when they did not abuse him in the first place.

234GT:
Good morning car gurus on the house.
I use a 2008 accord 4 cylinder as my daily car.

Last week Wednesday and Thursday, I discovered oil leaks where I parked overnight. I took the car to a ram and we checked under. He said the power steering rack is bad and the leaks came from the driver side rubber boot covering.

He advised that I change the power steering rack. I have bought a tokunbo rack for 55k.

My confusion now is that since last week Friday, the leaking has stopped completely, and the power steering reservoir level has not gone down one bit. The steering system is working perfectly with no noise whatsoever.

I don't feel like changing the rack because of so many things they have to dismantle to remove the bad one. I am always scared of my car being piecesed by mechanics because they tend not to return the components to how they met it.....like one may end up with problem B while trying to fix problem A.

Please advise on what the leak could possibly be, because I have checked the atf and brake oil, they are both at the usual levels. Thank you.
Inner-Party criticism is a weapon for strengthening the Party organization and increasing its fighting capacity. In the Party organization of the Red Army, however, criticism is not always of this character, and sometimes turns into personal attack. As a result, it damages the Party organization as well as individuals. This is a manifestation of petty-bourgeois individualism. The method of correction is to help Party members understand that the purpose of criticism is to increase the Party's fighting capacity in order to achieve victory in the class struggle and that it should not be used as a means of personal attack.

Warning, long epistle.

Back then, my mum used a 1996 accord. We had serious PS issues with the car starting from when my dad decided based on one corrupt mechanic's advise to change the PS pump that was leaking PS fluid. A "toks" pump was installed but failed the next day. I returned the car to same mechanic but guess what, he said he threw it away and someone must have carried it grin. For more than a year we changed 3 more pumps, all gave up within less than a week.

My mum wrestled with that steering for over a year until i travelled for a wedding with the car to Jalingo, Taraba state. The alternator gave up. I got a toks and used the mechanic to do some other checks on the car. After the repairs, the mechanic drove the car and was disappointed about the steering. He recommended his boy check it but i was skeptical. He insisted, i obliged. Luckily, i had the 2 non working pumps in the boot. This mechanic bought N500 fuel, chose 2 of the pumps, opened both then chose one. Washed it throughout, bleed the steering rack of all PS oil (ATF). He bought 1 litre of road side drum engine oil. Reinstalled everything back.

Voila! It took 3 years before we had any issue(steering hose leak).

On my own car, 2003 accord, i had a steering rack seal leak January this year. A mechanic said he can change the seal. He did the change successfully but used Seahorse Dexron III ATF to refill the PS system. Steering was perfect, so I thought.

Drove to a filling station to add fuel during that fuel crisis, the steering totally went out on me, i almost crashed into a parked car. PS was totally out and pump whinning/fuming. I thought air was getting into the system. Managed to park in the fuel queue. 10mins later line moved, started engine and steering came back perfectly. Line moving slowly, 2mins later whine started and PS went out again. From then on, 2mins after restarting the car it will go out and 10mins if its a cold start. The pump will be untouchable due to how hot it was. The next one month i did several DIYs, installed clips in all joints, tried all bleeding methods, washed the PS fluid reserve tank and up to 5 total pump disassemblies tweeking one thing or the other each time.

The frequency of the problem reduced when i spilled the PS fluid in the reserve tank and filled with engine oil. So it was part ATF part engine oil. This time, ps never goes out completely but whining is present just like before.

I took the car to Panteka Kaduna, (for those who know), they do some magic with parts there. The recommended PS pump specialist inspected the car, dipped his pinky finger in the PS pump fluid, then told me, you have no problem. He said, "go drain the entire PS fluid and put in engine oil".

I bought 1 litre Forte Visco 2000 engine oil (red coloured). Read up on how to change PS oil. Removed the reserved tank, emptied and washed it with petrol. Put a 75cl eva water bottle in the ps return pipe. Ran the engine until ATF stopped flowing. Reinstalled the tank, filled with engine oil, ran the engine for 10 secs. Topped the engine oil again. Ran engine for 20secs. Gauged it.

Viola! Till this moment, no whine, no whatsoever.

Hello everyone, is it a known issue for the 03 to 012 accord to short oil?
I bought complete engine in March this year, now the engine is shorting oil and smoking lightly.
What's the best oil to use in servicing the accord?

this is okay if you are buying the original oil. Also the white smoke is still what I am trying to understand. Can you get someone to depress the throttle while you watch the tail pipe and see if blue smoke will come out.
Also was the white smoke mild or thick.

Do a compression test to know if it's a worn rings or bad valve stem seals.

Hi I own an Honda accord 2008 Car started revving high on it’s own and jerk when I engage the gear, Got the injector washed and it stopped for about 3 days only to do the same thing again. The a mechanic said it’s injector mouth and I have replaced it, called a Rewire to scan check cuz its not starting anymore, now a Rewire said the ecu is not communicating with the scanner, he can’t read any error. Any advice please

Pls house, help me. My honda accord 2005 idle speed is unstable at idle. But once I detach the cold coolant temperature sensor ( cold start ), the idle speed will balance.

Rewire insisted it's the throttle body, we changed it, nothing. He said most throttle body are bad or have been worked on. Until we get a good one. But I said it should be the cold start. Since the fault goes off once I detached it.

We replaced cold start but same issue. I'm very confused.
Codes are p2185, p0122, p0141 , p0118
